Please Please don't be disheartened and continue this story its wonderful. I know i've said this many times but your a credit to this site and your work one of its little treasures. If you've stopped because you don't have any time to finish it then i understand and can wait :) But don't stop because people don't 'get' the story, if they don't get it they can go else where. Your talent and your love for the genre shine through regardless. Well thats my opinion. I've enjoyed the show immensely and will have to content myself for now with making up an ending in my head.

I love love love this chapter. The confusing mess that is both of them... makes perfect sense, lol. I was so mad at Snape when he told Harry that he hated him, and at the same time, you could hear the underlying statements -- that he didn't necessary hate him, but the circumstances that surrounded him. BEAUTIFUL!

I was utterly moterified on this piece. This was totally out of character for both snape and harry and totally ofended me as a Harry Potter fan. I dont believe snape would ever behave this way! I was disgusted on this whole piece.

I don't know what to say about this story. I can't find a coherent plot thread; it feels like you made it up as you went along. Sometimes that works. In this case I don't think it does. The mood jerks from one extreme to another. Some concepts that were introduced (the "pretending") didn't feel fleshed out at all. It's technically well-written, and you do a good job of getting us inside Harry's head. I guess I have a problem with the way you've written Snape, as someone who's irrational and unhinged and has no idea what's coming next. You don't provide enough reasons for him to be this out-of-control. His unrequited love for Lily doesn't explain it, nor does his father's abuse. It feels like some larger motivation is missing, so Snape has no throughline.
I know the story is not yet complete, but it suffers from an excess of emotional climaxes. I got worn out reading it. You definitely don't suffer from a lack of dramatic action. But since I don't know why any of this is happening (because I have no idea what Snape's motivation is), eventually I just don't care.
Maybe this would have worked better as a Snarry? (With an older-than-eleven Harry.) Then there would have been a plausible source of conflict for Severus. I don't know.

What a brilliant last line! This is getting very exciting. But - does Snape ever *eat*? All he seems to do (though mayhaps I have forgotten) is drink tea while Harry eats. Oh, and I think you meant broke, not broken. (;

I love your story because even though its a bit confusing the characters themselves are complex personalities so this shows their feelings. I like your introspection into the way that Harry thinks. It really is true that he would cling to Snape even though the man said that he hated him because this is the best treatment Harry's had that he can remember which of course is horribly pathetic. So keep on writing and I hope Snape is a little nicer to our dear Harry.
