I LOVE this chapter! The end was so heart-breaking, I feal like crying for Severus. I hope things turn out alright in the end, but I have a nagging suspicion things will never be completly fine ;_; PLEASE post again soon! I'll cry if you don't. Please? *puppy-dog eyes*

Author's Response:
The reason why Narcissa is so gently with Hermione is that she has no prejudices against muggleborns. After all her best friend was Lily for nearly 10 years. This is not made clear in the story but is hinted at in earlier chapters - Narcissa was forced by her family to marry Lucius. She agreed because she had seen it and what Seers see about themselves is going to happen one way or another. Severus in earlier chapters believes that Narcissa betrayed Lily by marrying a Death Eater.
