Reviews For Lily's Charm
Author's Response: You'll just have to wait and see.... :oP
Author's Response: Thank you! Thanks so much for the review. I'm glad you like the story so much and I love that you are feeling the pain for these people. It is been really painful to write some of these chapters. More is coming soon. Lots more angst and drama for you too! :o)
Oh wow... Kind of picking myself off the floor with this installment. Yikes! I'm glad the new revelations came out immediately (and what and why does Dumbledore know what he knows....clearly so much more than meets the eye). Hmmm.... The Snape fury at the end.....LOVED IT! I wouldn't want to be Mummy right now...that confrontation will not be pretty. And how will Snape react to Harry when he returns? So many questions! You have all the answers! As I said before, your story has grabbed me hook, line and sinker and I'm glad you update frequently. I haunted the computer this evening when you mentioned you'd be updating again. I only do that when a story "speaks" to me in the way yours has. Bravo! Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm thrilled by how much you are enjoying the story. I think yeah, something had to give and Harry just wasn't going to wait around anymore...that is a boy of action! Dumbledore is always up to something, isn't he? :) Glad you liked Snape at the end there. Those were really fun paragraphs to craft. I just adore a furious Snape, don't you? Almost as much as a warm and fuzzy one. LOL The next chapter will be up in a couple days, I hope. I hope you keep enjoying and that my story keeps "speaking" to you. Thanks again for your awesome review.
Author's Response: Yummy...chocolate frogs. :o)
Love how you're writing all the characters. Can't wait until the next chapter. Author's Response: YAY! Thanks so much for reviewing. It's great to have another excited reader. The next chapter will even be up later tonight as I just have a couple of tweaks to do to it once the kids get to bed! Thanks for the compliment about the characterizations! They are so much fun to write. Hope you keep enjoying!
Thanks for the update. Can't wait for the next.... Author's Response: Yeah, at least it makes sense to Harry. And yeah, this has been really hard to write as it is so filled with so many emotions for all of them. What a happy family they could have been.... Well, there is lots of good old Dumbledore in the next chapter so I guess we'll see what the old coot is up to...maybe. :o) The update is coming soon. Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Yeah, Eileen really is a problem, isn't she? And, hey you're almost writing lines from my next chapter there with your review. :o) Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: THANK YOU!!!THANK YOU!!!THANK YOU!!! :)
I'm enjoying this story so much! It’s really evolving, I’ve got all caught up in it. Thank you for sharing it and I’m really looking forward to reading the next chapter :) Author's Response: Thanks so much for reviewing. I know what you mean; it was really painful to write. I actually teared up when I wrote the end of chapter 8. Some much pain for Severus. I'm glad you are liking it so much. The next chapter should be up soon!
Author's Response: Thank you for the review. I had to reread chapter nine to figure out what you were referring to, so I hope I understood correctly. I assume you were talking about Harry not getting angry with Remus after Remus apologized for not telling Harry about Snape and Lily. I think we have to remember that Harry had just gone through a terrible emotional ordeal and he was in no shape to argue further. And the fact is, Remus does have a good point. What was he supposed to say about Lily and Snape, especially when it was not his story to tell? Remus didn't know that Snape and Lily were married. He did know that James and Lily had married for something like protection for Lily and yes, he knows that Lily loves Snape, but I think too that Remus, given that he seems the kind of man who just wants everything to work out (and the fact that supposedly Lily and James had been close enough to produce a baby), he believed that Lily loved James as well. And the bottom line is that Remus thought James was Harry's father, not Snape. If he had known, and he still didn't tell Harr, then yes his actions would have been indefensible, but as it is, I don't believe they are. Remember too that once Harry thought Remus had known more than he actually did, Harry was quite a bit more angry. Same goes for Dumbledore, if he fact does not know Lily lied to Snape. As to Harry having no backbone, I actually think Harry did quite well for himself as he did flatly refuse to resume Occlumency with Snape. He even went so far as the turn his back on both Remus and Dumbledore and walk out. He was not inclined to defy McGonagall the next night but he went to Dumbledore's office fully intending to refuse again. And, in all actuality, Dumbledore could not have insisted as you are right...it would be completely wrong of all of them. And, you are right, Remus has no say in Harry's life but if you you were referring to Remus' telling Harry not to defy the Headmaster, I think that is simply Professor Lupin telling Harry not to be impertinent, much as McGonagall did later. And, yes Harry is nearing adulthood but he is not an adult and I think it is perfectly acceptable for the adults in his life to expect respect from him, even when Harry is too stubborn and angry to give it. I do appreciate your sentiments and thank you for giving me something to think about. Hopefully, I explained myself well enough. Hope you keep enjoying the story! |
