We certainly do have a growing cast of characters. Your Arabella is certainly different from what we usually see. The interaction between Severus and Harry also is sweet, but I'm afraid I don't quite understand why a 23 yo man thinks he will never be able to have his own children. You might also work a little on giving each of your characters a more distinct "voice" in the conversations. The story is flowing well, and I'll be especially interested in seeing how things go when Harry gets to Hogwarts. Could you give us some idea of how long you envision this story to be? Not that it really makes much difference, but enquiring minds want to know. ;-)
Author's Response: Thanks for your review and your suggestions...I will definitely bear them in mind. As for Severus and why he thinks he won't be able to have children of his own.....he's marked as a Death Eater and so, even though Voldemort has supposedly been destroyed, bearing the Dark Mark still carries a stigma with it. As such, within the United Kingdom the only people who wouldn't regard it as a turn-off would be other Death-Eater's and Severus is obviously a spy. There is also the fact that he is at Hogwarts almost permanently and doesn't spend much time in Italy. Does that make sense at all? I honestly have no idea how long this story is going to be...I have it planned out up until chapter 16 I think and then a couple of chapters for when Harry/Alex is 11. Several readers elsewhere want to see me carry it on through the Hogwarts years but I have yet to make a decision on that.
