In fandom, leave it up to Dumbledore to come up with birthday and Christmas presents for the young Boy-Who-Lived that people wouldn't approve of... Anyways, good story and keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Yup, after all, what is Dumbledore there for other than to infuriate characters and generally act like an overgrown child?! I'm glad you're enjoying the story!

I find this whole concept really bizarre, you seem to have completely negated the whole characterisation of Severus Snape and replaced it with your own projected version, you've eradicated the sarcastic, snarling, self-doubting, malicious and foul tempered potions master and replaced him with some continental family loving wizard. You've completely ignored most of the books. You even changed his name!!!I'm just a bit confused. When you put together Dumbledore and his Transfiguration teacher I could see it but then when you put Pomprey and Mad-eye it seemed that every thing that you were doing was just out of convenience for your plot, it's so unrealistic and surreal that it confounded me. I not sure what to think. Really. I like the story though ironically. I just don't think it can be called fan fiction. I hate giving negative reviews and this isn't one, -not much anyway- i think you have talent- the story flows- i liked how 'Snape' calls 'Harry' his little raven, and the interaction between 'Malfoy' and 'Harry', (Although i'm not sure i could ever see Malfoy getting his son dressed himself, or allowing him to wear a costume- it just seems to rub against the whole noble aristocratic air that they would ever do something so plebian.) I hope you continue to write. The story has potential.
Author's Response: Thank you for the majority of your review and I do understand the other comments that you have made. I am aware that I have made large changes in the characterisation of Snape but if I do manage to continue this into Harry's first year then we will see the return of the sarcastic and snarling Severus Snape that we all love! Poppy and Mad-Eye aren't actually together - I apologise for any confusion. She's just giving a present from the both of them as Mad-Eye is too busy being the paranoid Head of the Auror department and is completely disassociated from children. I completely accept your decision but I do feel that my story can be called fanfiction however, if everybody agreed with one another then the world would be a very boring place! Thank you for the compliments and the comments, I really do appreciate them all.
Aww I love it! You've done so well introducing new characters! The entire extended family has grabbed my attention instead of just Harry and Sev. Nice job! Though I'm still unclear as to if Lucius and Severus have an actual family relation
Author's Response: Thank you very much. I'm glad that you like the all of the new characters that I've created - I was a bit worried as to how well they would be accepted. Yes, Lucius and Severus are related but it is very distant. I will see what I can do about getting a copy of the family tree on the internet to help clarify things.

Is the potion irreversible? Does it make physical changes in the child's body?
Author's Response: No, the potion can't be reversed once it has been taken and yes it does make physical changes in the child's body. It causes them to take on the physical characteristics of the person's blood used in the potion.

He wasn't 'killed' by the evil wizard...
But a charming chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you liked the chapter and thanks for pointing that out - I must have been brain-dead when I wrote it!
