The conversion about the Manor is odd. I wonder if the land was in Harry's family before Snape got it?

Author's Response: ah well, I couldn't answer without spoiling ;-)

I love this! Shadow chasing the miniature broom is just too perfect. Such a cat he is!

I'm glad Harry now knows his friends are alive, and that he was able to get out of his transformation. Though a tough experience to endure, what with all the emotions and thoughts flooding through his mind, it was a good idea for him to be brought to the Burrow.

I'm curious about the manor's origin, and look forward to finding out more about it. I also can't wait for Harry to get back to Hogwarts and resume a somewhat normal life with his friends. It's good he has Severus there for him too, I think they reached another level of closeness in this chapter.

well, that certaintly wasn't the reaction I'd been expecting from Snape - but I'd forgotten that Harry hadn't yet found out about Snape's involvement in the prophecy. I thought it was really good! Ron and Hermione were done really well and I loved the cat stuff. Also the 'insecure Snape' is written brilliantly too!

    Superb, as usual my Dear!

I so love this story, and I felt all warm inside. I hope that things don't go wrong for Harry again, and that he really gets to finally have a family, with Snape!

Please update soon, oh brilliant author! Can't do without my fix! ;)

    Author's Response:

    thank you very much ;-)

Well I can't tell that everything will be allright because it won't, but er... not too bad, either ? I know, I'm mean ;-)

I heart this story. When I got to the part where Severus took out the mahogany box I had to quick open iTunes and start playing The Mudbloods, A Pensieve Full of Unrequited Love. Anyone who likes this website and/or this story in particular will go ga-ga for that song, you can give it a listen from their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/mudbloods

    Author's Response:

Thank you for the link, I didn't know this band! I love it !

Oh well there is more to come about Severus and Lily too. A lot more, though the biggest part is not even written in French so far, and not planed either. and you will hear about the cask again, too! actually, there will be a few 'lily's boxes' in this story lol !

Good chapter! A little slower paced than usual, but I think that helps us understand Harry's emotional progression much better.

    Thanks Again,
    Donna

Author's Response: yes, I think I needed to give them some peace to sort this out, though peace never last long in this realm!

I don't think it's boring, I like the mushy scenes.

    Author's Response: thanks ;-)

Oh wow, Harry considers the manor his home? That's great! I thought Snape was going to ask to be Harry's guardian then and was surprised when it didn't happen. How much longer is he going to wait? Granted, it will probably make him really nervous, but they seem to be getting along so well right now.

I'm glad Snape didn't get mad at Harry for the legillimency thing from last chapter. He's being very understanding, which is great. I'm sure he'll be a great guardian when he gets around to it.

The scene with Harry and his friends was my favorite. I liked how Shadow couldn't understand things and then it finally dawned on him and the poor little guy jumped into a window (ouch). His confusion was well-written and it was nice to understand Ron and Hermione at the same time.

If you call this boring, I can't wait to see what you call good plot, lol. I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

    Author's Response:

Harry was so willing to get some kind of home, and his Shadow part was so possessive about this place... he will have to think about it seriously in the future though, the manor has a lot more to say. As for the adoption, well, I am writting this part just now, and it's... chapter 43, I think? lol

well in 'fictionj time' only a few weeks have past, but in real time, I think it took me a year. Yes, those guys had a lot to do in the meantime, and there will be a few other factors too!

Snape is actually very understanding right now. A bit too much maybe. A bit insecure too, actually, what if Harry was going to go away from him? But well, there WILL be some times in the future when he will have to deal with a mischievous Harry and will find his 'Snape mood' again ;-)

Poor little Shadow was exhausted with this chapter lol, had to raise his salary after that ! but there will soon be a lot more of Shadow. Good cat! :-)
