Reviews For The Last Gift
Author's Response: thank you ;-)
Wow, so ironic that Harry is calling to Severus and doesn't realize it. Severus really is so being so patient about it all. I couldn't be, I doubt. What a sad situation with Remus and Loki. I hope that Remus will be able to find a way to reach his son and convince Loki to turn away from Voldemort. I hope that eventually those two can grow closer and have some kind of father/son relationship. Harry had a lucky escape for sure! I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Author's Response: Thank you very much, holidays were wonderful indeed! Well, in a way, Snape feels like he doesn't have much choice about it. Explaining things to Harry right now would probably not be the best solution. As for Remus, he is in a very sorry situation... and he doesn't know half of it!
Author's Response: thank you ;-)
Wow, you came back with a vengeance. Fantastic chapter as usual Keina,. So glad that you're back. I just loved that every time Harry was in trouble, that Snape came to his rescue, and I loved that he kept calling for Snape, despite his need for space and independence. Aw, I love this story, and I'm so anxious to see when Snape adopts Harry, and make their relationship legal. Author's Response: *chorus* Thank youuu! Yes, we're all back, more or less taned! Harry is having his very private adolescence crisis, driving Snape crazy without even knowing it ;-) as for adoption... it will take yet some time! after all, it's been only two months since Shadow arrived at Snape's place!
And Lucius! Da-Da-Da-Duuummmm. I really want to know what is happening next with him! I love that harry is subconsciously calling for Snape. And snape is being so great about it, not snarling at Harry for the pain, just quietly being there. It must be reassuring to Snape when Harry is being so hot and cold, that he can FEEL Harry's need, even if Harry won't admit it, and even if it is painful. Harry will be both chagrinned that he is causing Snape pain and embarrased at being laid bare like that. And probably a little pleased that Snape knows how much le loves and needs him. Can't wait to read more. K Author's Response: Thank you very much! Remus is going to have a hard time with his newfound son, that's for sure! You're right, the mark and its powers are both a nuisance and a good thing; but as for how Harry will take it...? One thing is sure, Snape is not in a hurry to tell him...
My favorite parts were when Severus was comforting Harry while he slept. Even though Harry's embarrassed about his declaration, I think Severus did need to hear it, even if he doesn't particularly like displays of affection. I think it's brought Severus even closer to Harry. I'm surprised about how well poor Severus is taking his mark going off all the time. It must be horrible, being summoned and not being able to answer it or get relief from the summoning. Anyway, I hope Harry stops avoiding people soon. I imagine he's really hurt Remus at this point and I'm sure Severus would prefer his company too. Harry has always been the sort of person who needs his friends and needs other people; I'm not sure that his alone time is doing him any good. Great chapter--I'm so happy to finally get to read more! -P.G. Author's Response: I try too, yes, it's funny to mix my story and the original one :-) Well, both Severus and Harry need a lot of reassurance and have a lot of affection to make up for the years they didn't get any, but it's not like it's easy for any of them. All things considered, they are even pretty good at this, in their own way! As for the mark, knowing that it's Harry and not Voldemort calling must make it a lot easier to bear for Snape. And Harry is never very far.
