    YAY!

    Lovely chapter...

I loved the interaction between Snape and Harry, especially with the Crystal. (So, despite what naysayers you have had in France, I liked the crystal scene.)

I do hope Draco can grow and change, now that he is out of the shadow and control of his father (we hope).

Snape may have it wrong when it comes to Harry's reaction to the mark. I'm not sure if he is afraid that Harry will use it to control him (Harry is not above an attempt at manipulation, but I think he would be horrified at the thought that he could control Snape that way), or if Harry would be distressed and think that Snape is only caring for him because he is under Harry's sway (which we can plainly see is not true)... But I think Harry is more understanding and generous, and so long as there are no misunderstandings (fat chance), Harry will not turn from Snape because of the Mark. (Whew, long sentence! Blame it on my time in Germany. If it were in my fiction, I'd have to edit it. (grin))

Looking forward to the next chapter!

    Author's Response:

Thank you very much! It seems that the English readers have different opinions indeed ;-)

Draco will have a lot of issues to face. Actually I don't like Draco as a caracter, and I intend to keep him canon as much as possible: he can do some good, but he is a hell of a spoiled child!

Snape knows that Harry won't use the mark to control him, what frightens him is the huge responsability it implies, and the fact that, as a father, he would suddenly find himself in a bad position. Though Harry certainly won't turn away from him for that, it would sure complicate their relationship a lot!

The crystal part did seem to be a bit much, but at least they were allowed to use it in private, without witnesses. If it helped them to reach a deeper understanding, then I suppose it's great.

Harry certainly has wonderful friends, doesn't he? I'm really glad that Hermione and Susan took the initiative to contact Madam Bones, because she nipped that woman's interference in the bud.

I hope that they won't be too hard on Draco; it's really hard to go against those you love. At least, in the end, he decided to tell the truth, and so I think that he's redeemable. They should at least give him the opportunity to discover that his current viewpoint is skewed; he might surprise them, you never know.

    Great chapter!

    Author's Response:

Hermione is the hero of the day! ;-)

Well, Draco certainly didn't impress the crowd with his loyalty and all, but he did take a big step in the right direction, which is a good thing. The light side is ready to give him a chance, but that will be for him to make the most of it... or not!

Oh that was wonderful! Yay to Madame Bones!!!! Oui oui!

I totally disagree about the stone. I thought that it was a nice touch, and I loved seeing that discussion between Harry and Severus; I think that they've made enormous strides forward.

I feel bad for Draco though. Why is he in a cell anyway? It seems so cruel to put him there. Can't someone else be appointed his guardian; someone who can keep him under control?

    Author's Response:

well, it might seems a long time in writting-time, but in story-time, it was only a few days ago that he let Loki in to kill Harry, which didn't exactly enthralled Dumbledore and Severus ;-)
