(I could just SEE Shadow rudely sticking his nose into Titus' fur to smell him!!!) And who is the "other" black cat? Possibly Millicent Bulstrode's? (I suppose Harry never took notice of Hermione's scent when she was a cat-woman...) // Also, amazing details regarding Harry's training session. And he killed a boggart-- I didn't expect that! Hmm... Oh, I loved your use of Loki in this scene! I can't imagine a more nerve-wracking experience for everyone during Lupin's interview. And when the howl ended in a laugh... I was howling with laughter at the very idea! Fantastic!!! // Overall, this chapter is amazingly constructed, with each segment comprising its own mini-story. I really DESPISE the social worker, and it was great to see each person (especially Ron!) neatly side-stepping her attempts to trap them into supporting her distrust of the adoption. Harry and Severus were almost through with the ordeal when Lucius showed up-- NOW WHAT??! Also, it's obvious that Loki has listened to the entire proceedings, and I'm really curious as to how he will use the information. You've created a series of neat twists in this chapter-- wow! Way to go!!!
Well, it took me a while, but I've finally caught back up :D
I'm really glad too, I missed reading this wonderful story. I feel bad for Remus right now.... But that sweet scene at the end got me smiling again :)

I have to agree with Lily and with James (as much as I am not fond of the man) that Harry and Snape surely will have a fight. I know their relationship will survive it, but I'm sure it is going to be painful for both of them. I like the little moments of happiness that you allow them. Thank you for that.
By the way, is there a way to relieve Snape's fears about Harry leaving him because the boy is not of his blood? That young man (Yes I just referred to Snape as young, American term of speech) needs a little more confidence in his abilities. Hopefully Harry will learn that his father is human in a not horribly painful way.
By the way does Lily, James and Sirus know Harry was supposed to be in Slytherin and that Snape can use Gryffindor's sword? Because if they don't, a comment made by both Malfoy and Sirus would be wrong.

Author's Response: ahh well, there would be ways, yes, but I love the angst so much! :-) if my (borrowed) characters were real, they would probably resent me very much! I don't think that the ghosts know about Harry and Slytherin, but they certainly know now about Snape and the sword! That certainly gave them a good laugh! next chapter in a few minutes ;-)
I approve of Snape's methods. I don't mean to sound blood thirsty, but I would want my child to fight in any situation where he or she was threatened. I have a feeling Snape feels the same way. So are we going to hear more about Snape and James' wands and why and if Harry can use them? (I am determined to get an answer. I'm sure Harry feels the same way. *grins*)
So is Harry ever going to blackmail Snape about using Gryffindor's sword? If he does, you should totally have it revealed to Snape that Harry was supposed to be in Slytherin. (I'll admit I was kind of hoping that Harry was going to tell Snape when he was discussing the honorary Slytherin thing.)
So can we see Snape and Harry watching Wizard of Oz? Just curious, I could totally see them watching the movie together. Perhaps even seeing the play Wicked or watching Return to Oz. (If you haven't seen it, you totally have to!)
