Reviews For Never Say Remember
Author's Response: Taking a break from the computer? What is this heresy?? ;)
Mrs. Weasley was hilarious. I adored how the twins believe she will knit Severus a sweater; and I hope she does take the pair under her wing. Severus's empty fridge was hilarious (I *like* beans on toast, lol!) The mental picture of the pair of them at the table, Severus in his half-destroyed duds, while the Weasleys tromped in - poor, but well-cared-for - was so embarrassing that I flushed on their behalf. I am really anticipating the next one. After that breakdown in the flower patch, I have to imagine things'll be a little awkward between Harry and Snape as Harry realizes what a berk he's been... or does he still have doubts about Snape? Enjoying it as always, -K Author's Response: Yes, I fondly remember the times when I was updating every few days. Sigh. Try to see the delay as a good sign. Before, I was just checking over my rough draft for typos because the draft seemed "perfect" as is. Now, my writing has improved enough that I can look at my original rough draft and see all kinds of problems that need fixing. So...long delays between updates mean...my chapters will be even better! Right? (Work with me, here.) Severus's fridge was in no way based on my own. I have bread *and* ketchup, thank you very much! Thank you for reviewing! (And sorry I took so long replying to you on LJ…better late than never!)
Can't wait for another chapter and more banter. Cheers. Author's Response: Thanks! Dialogue is one of my favorite things to write. :) I enjoy having words zing back and forth between characters. I love your description of that scene; it's hilarious. :D Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: They were bound to take a little longer. (Known World) Severus has had time to build more walls than (Known World) Harry.
Author's Response: Thanks!
Wonderful as usual. :) Cecilia Author's Response: And Harry's sharp ears picking up on that one word, ha ha. Yes, I think this Harry has had a better family life than his counterpart…but certainly not a perfect life. The love between father and son has dampened the conflict between these two different personalities, but it's still there. And the stresses of Voldemort and his mother…Harry is probably due for a teenage rebellion in a few years. ;) Thank you for reviewing!
Author's Response: Thank you! It was a struggle for me to find the right words.
The Ron/Harry bonding moments were great and I loved Harry's wisdom about Severus' bludgers. Great writing. The more I read of your story, the more I am impressed and I'm not usually much for alternate universe themes. But this is wonderful! Author's Response: I don't think Harry could have said anything in that moment that would have comforted Severus. It takes a while for the ego to recover after a battle with Molly Weasley. :D I know what you mean about not being much for certain stories. Sometimes I'll take a chance on a story I wouldn't normally read, and be pleasantly surprised. It's good to try new things. :)
The only thing is what Harry and Ron stop after their game and sprawl outside on the grass. Yet, you left something about a couch in: "Ask...?" said Ron. Then he groaned, sinking back into the couch cushions. "Snape. He'll never let you go." Author's Response: Whoops! As you may have guessed, that scene originally took place in a different setting. :) I've fixed that. It's funny to think about Severus surrendering his clothes to Molly. :D Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Beans on toast seems like definite bachelor chow. :) Thanks for the kudos! I think Snape is second only to the Malfoys in the list of characters who are difficult to keep in canon and keep human. I mostly draw on my own repressed, bitter nature. ;) |
