Reviews For Never Say Remember
Author's Response: Thanks! I've gotten a bit behind in my updates, but I'm still working on the next chapter. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it!
Author's Response: I have been considering that, but I changed a major plot point in an earlier chapter. It's one of the reasons editing has been taking longer, since it's essentially become re-writing to fit the new plot direction. And after re-writing comes more editing...really, the main problem is that I'm a perfectionist. However, these little nudges in the reviews have reviewed my motivation, and I've made more progress in the past few days than I have in a while. Thanks for the gentle approach, by the way. When I saw the e-mail notification, I was worried someone popped in to throw things in my general direction.
-K Author's Response: Aw, thanks for the offer. Yes, I've been a naughty fanfic author. I'm definitely getting coal in my stocking if I don't update soon. I think I've finally (finally!) figured out what was bothering me about this next chapter. I spent quite a bit of time staring at it in consternation. Then I read a new writing book and had a light bulb moment. I'm honestly not sure whether I should be with or without a beta at this point. I think most betas would want to strangle me for my productivity issues. What I really need is someone to chain me to the chair and then stand behind me with a whip. Got any ideas on how to owl Argus Filch?
Love and a Peace, Kates Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing! Sorry for the late reply; I'm catching up on my reviews...and updates. I hope you're still interested in the next chapter when I post it. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm sorry I've been so behind on my updates, but I'm getting back on track. Hopefully you'll pick up the rest of the story. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!
The characters are so lovely, in character, and changing due to events in the story. I love monkey Harry. So that is what Harry would be like with a dad, a Slytherin dad, who loved him. Oh, Well done! (Putting on my best Oliver Twist voice: Please, can I have some more?) Author's Response: Thank you! :) It's wonderful when people get pulled into my story so deeply. I think the differences between the two Harrys, and the evolution of the canon characters, are saying something about the effect of love. How can I deny an Oliver Twist voice? :) I'm working on more right now.
Author's Response: I know; I'm sorry. It was never my intention for the updates to be this far apart. I originally saw my completed original draft as nearly perfect as-is, and thought I could post each chapter with a minimum of fuss. But the process of editing, reading books on writing, and thinking about reader comments have helped me to become a better writer. Now I can see that the next few chapters require complete re-writes so that the story can be at its best. I'm working on the editing of the next chapter now, and I will squeeze every bit of free time I can into getting it posted ASAP.
Author's Response: Thank you! Next update is coming soon. :)
