I started to read this on FFN, and for some reason I quit before I was completely caught up on it, and now I have no idea why. It's really, really good. Severus' and Alastor's constant bickering is funny. I love his relationship with Harry too and I find it amusing that he's becoming rather indulgent. The song lyrics you've used for the chapter titles are great too. Falcon In the Dive seems especially appropriate and I think it fits Severus' character really well (although, I might be a little biased about that since it comes from my favorite musical). Well done.
I absolutely love this story.
I read it before, back when it was only about 20 chapters or so, but there was a long gap in updates (while you were rewriting parts, I assume?), so I lost track of it after a while until today.
I hope it doesn't fizzle to a complete stop again; I'm really enjoying it, and I can't wait to see how everything ends up.

I adore Severus' comments on life in general and Alastor in particular wonderful writing
I lovet this story because it's so orignal. Most of the time, when other stories have been a long time between updates, I need to re-read just to recall what's going on. With this story, as soon as I start reading, everything about it just leaps to mind because this Snape (and his connnection to Moody, attitude toward Albus, etc., etc.) is so distinctive. I admit, though, that I often re-read the previous chapter just for fun.
Good to see an update here :) cant wait to see just why the dementors were at Hogwarts!
