*sighs* I once again find myself on a ball in the lounge floor in the middle of the night. LOL, just kidding! I hate Voldemort. I don't care that it's stating the obvious, but I really, really, really, really, REALLY HATE Moldy-shorts (which I am very proud to say I thought of myself before finding it in a fic, though I guess everyone had thought of it) When Harry called out for 'dad', OMG. I was...okay, not sure how I felt about that. Glad he was getting to terms with it and all, but in the middle of the clan of Weasleys? When he didn't want Severus to go...I definately know how I felt then, I felt my heart break for the poor boy who had lost so much, yet would stand so boldly even in the face of the knowledge that he might again loose something, before he had even had the chance to really have it. *sniffles* Okay, sounding more insane by the minute, but POOR HARRY!!! Yes, he doesn't need to be coddled, no he's not a child, but...poor Harry! It's got to be annoying having a woman so clearly insane annoying you with rants in her reviews. LOL, but you won't get rid of me! The way Ginny was defending Harry...I ADORED IT!!! It's great to see her that way, Severus' descriptions in particular...amused me. And then how Harry, who was scared even to look at Severus, stood up for Ginny...just incredible. As always exceptional, and your turn of events as always took me by surprise, and now I must read on the find out what the result of this surprise is!
Author's Response: Well hello Vicky! I have just finished your three reviews and I want to thank you so much for your enthusiasm. Beyond enthusiasm in fact! LOL. It has taken a while for me to respond because I have been computerless for about a week and I have literally only been on line for about ten minutes and in that time I have read your reviews. I have a new computer and my son-in-law has spent the last three hours getting me up and running. It was a lovely surprise to find your three lovely reviews. (I am completely clueless when it comes to computers.) I do not get anywhere as many reviews here on P&S as I do over at fanfic.com so it is always a nice surprise to find one...three at once is amazing and three lovely long ones, even if the author of them is insane (LOL) is amazingly amazing. BTW...I like insane. I hope you continue to get enjoyment out of the story...you still have a ways to go. I am also reminded that I have a completed chapter that I have had uploaded on fanfic for about a month and I have not put it up here. Perhaps I had better see to that as I feel sure that you will want to read it! I think some readers here might have jumped ship, it has been so long. I am glad you are enjoying the plot and the characters. This was my first and my favourite story. If you should decide to read my other story posted here, I must tell you that I have stopped uploading here because the story did not garner much interest here on P&S. But it is still a going concern over at fanfic.net. Oh yeah, another reason for that is that I changed the rating to M because of some content (nothing totally shocking, I assure you) but P&S do not allow work that is rated M. I cannot be bothered changing the content so that it complies with the standards here. Anyway, I hope to hear from you again. Now I had better go and read the remainder of the emails I have not gotten to because the alerts for your reviews were right at the top of the long list. Lesley~

Yup- the last review was me. I took a break while reading the chapter and I must have been logged out. I didn't realize it at first, so the security code didn't get entered the first time. Lack of sleep made me forget to sign my name the second time... And yes, thank you, I did manage to get some sleep. I tend to do marathon reading sometimes. And this is worth it. Looking forward to more. I do have a question for you though, since I'm reading this almost straight through... How often do you update, on average, and how long do you think this will be?

Awww, you're going to make me cry. You have a way of making Harry's pain stand out. Well done. That last part was great. Makes me think that Severus is really, really glad he can hide his thoughts as well as he does.

I was delighted to find this updated! For some reason I've missed them recently, so I've just been recaping on the story. I think it is really well written with Nasty!Canon snape fitting really well into the plot. The dementors were very strong. Why the occasion? I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter! I liked the idea of Harry's stag being so strong. And Remus was much more like canon I think than film, which I liked too!
Author's Response: Thank you tabbycat, for your review. I am glad that you enjoyed the chapter, though I cannot understand why you are writing about how strong Harry's patronus is. It certainly is, when he is able to produce it, but in the graveyard he was too upset to be able to produce it. Perhaps it is because Sev was talking about how brilliant HArry's stag is. That the only Patronus Sev knows is brighter is Albus's phoenix. And why did the Dementors appear? Because Voldemort has them on alert and this group was hanging around GH just in case, and they felt Harry's overwhelming despair. Glad you liked Remus. I hope to bring him into the story a bit more soon. He has only made two appearances so far. Hope to hear from you again. Lesley~

what a great story, sorry i havn't reviewed before but i couldn't stop reading, it shows how good this fic is, severus and harry need there heads banging together, it may knock some sense into them and harry going of on his own was a disaster waiting to happen, he never learns does he?
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing now. I'm very glad you found the story and are enjoying it enough to review. Yes, HArry is very much Sev's son on the stubbornness stakes, that's for sure. Unfortunately, Sev can see that many of Harry's 'bad' traits seem to come directly from HIM. Harry's temper is very much a Sev trait. But Stubbornness can also be good in some circumstances. Yes, HArry most definitely should not have gone to GH. But he was not entirely aware of what he was doing. It was an instinctual thing after the shocking news he had just recieved. And don't think there won't be a guilt trip there for him as he will blame himself for Remus almost being overcome by the dementors. Hope to hear from you again. Lesley

Wow. That beginning was hard to read. Poor Severus. He is going through so many emotions here. It was lovely. I love that he is finally, finally getting it. What is means that he is Harry's father. And that he even admitted to himself that he is kind of a jerk. LOL I love it. I am so happy that he is doing some much needed soul searching (did I mention the FINALLY part?)
I love this line: "The anger that he had tried to whip up outside, faded in the face of Harry's obvious wariness..." I love that even despite his best efforts he can't be too furious. Yay Severus!
"Say hi to Voldemort for me..." Awww, Harry. Poor Harry. I hope Severus talks to him, although I suppose it will have to wait until after he sees Voldy (though he could decide not to go...yes do that!)
Okay, fine you can write what you want, I suppose. *pouts* I really can't wait to see the talk between them. I am awfully anxious, Lesley, so get typing please! :o)

Poor Severus sounds so conflicted! Especially with everything he revealed to Harry and then the Dementors had to come and bring up some bad memories (and I'm sure he's got plenty of those!) Great chapter and I hope you'll update again soon!
