Actually I just started reading this yesterday. I'm just starting chapter 8, but already I'm hooked. I'll try to get better about leaving reviews. Author's Response: Thanks for getting back to me, SHEla. I'm glad that you found the story and that you are enjoying it. ~LesleY~
Author's Response: As sonn as possible, I promise, ~LesleY~
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I am very glad that I could make you smile.

SHEla WOLFsbane Author's Response: Thank you for the rec. I have read the first two in Greengecko's series. I preferred the first, I have to say. I kind of lost interest once HArry left Hogwarts, though it was a while ago that I read them Perhaps I should refresh my memory. I take it that you read ASD, though you haven't commented on it. I looked through the last few chapters reviews here and on ff.net, but didn't see your name. Nice to hear from you anyway, ~LesleY~
Author's Response: Thank you for letting me know you appreciate the story. I will update as soon as possible, I promise.

Found one possible typo though. You wrote "But Harry wasn't normal and Severus Snape had only known he was a father for five minutes, and he might think that ‘dad' was too personal." -- did you copy this from a draft of an earlier chapter? Snape's known he's a dad a lot longer than "five minutes" by now! Author's Response: Hi there, b e skrewt. Thank you for your kind words. And to address your question...no, I didn't copy it from another chapter. This is Harry thinking, and the 'five minutes' was just Harry exaggerating things in his won mind, but also, five munutes is about all Sev has known he is a father in the greater scheme of things. Hope that explanation clears it up. ~LesleY~
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing kreacher. I'm thrilled you enjoyed it so much. And you are right...the path ahead is not going to be free of potholes. ~lesleY~
And I should tell you—I have wholeheartedly forgiven Snape. He really got his act together. I was so relieved that he explained that he'd never meant to throw Harry out—because, whether or not he "relented" after Harry pleaded to stay, that would set a really rotten...and damaging...precedent. A very dangerous bridge to cross. But he didn't, so good. Sweet with Hedwig. I'm a sucker for fluff between she and Harry. So dear! Makes you want to hug both of them—if I dared to hug an owl. Might be unwise, though I suspect Hedwig at least wouldn't take my face off entirely. I'm not sure I could say the same for the average owl! I missed a Ginny/Harry interaction, particularly as I'm assuming at some point she'll confront him about what she heard. But I'm sure we'll get to see her soon enough. I'm also glad to be back at the Burrow—it's such a homey atmosphere. Yikes, I am seriously rambling. At least I've given you a long review—if not a particularly comprehensible one. That should count for something. Oh—I thought I'd say that Ron's comment about Harry and Ginny was a little creepy, considering she's his sister. Lol. Author's Response: I loved reading your rambling review. Thank you, and thank you for the rating. I never give a rating when I review here because I can never decide what a particular work deserves. Indecisive, that's me. I am glad Sev redeemed himself in your eyes. He is slowly coming around...his ice-encased heart is definitely thawing. And Hedwig...put an animal in a chapter, and you are sure to get heaps of comments about it. LOL. Glad you liked HArry and his owl. And it is lovely that you missed HArry and Ginny...I get too amny comments that knock Ginny. And as for Ron's comment...well, he is trying to make up for his earlier attitude to Harry and Ginny and probably went too far the other way. I imagine he would be a tad upset if he actually SAW Harry and Ginny so occupied. But I definitely agree with Ginny on this. What she does and who she does it with is defifitely no business of Ron's. Till next time, I hope, ~LesleY~ |
