I loved the whole banishing Harry saga... felt v sorry for Harry but I thought it developed really nicely as it led up to Snape admitting he felt bad (and how he kept mucking up his potion)

    Author's Response:

Sorry for the delayed reply. I was not getting alerts about reviews over here at P&S. The problem has been rectified. Glad you liked this chapter(s). Thank you for taking the time to get back to me.

I'm enjoying just how alike these two are, even if they would never want to see it or admit it. Nicely done interaction with Snape and Pig too by the way.

    Author's Response:

Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed the chapter. I enjoyed writing Sev and Pig.

Good - another nice long chapter with a sprinkling of angst and humour: just what I like.
Glad you fixed Harry and Ron quickly, while Harry and Snape are great, both really needing their relationship, but both too alike and too inexperienced in normal family interactions to have a clue where boundaries lie. And who would have thought Snape would take to Pig like that!
Looking forward to the next chapter.

    Author's Response:

I didn't want Ron and Harry to be on the outer for too long. I love Ron and I think that Ron would be loathe to allow any disagreements to fester. He is very volatile, true, but he needs Harry as much as Harry needs him. I feel that Ron is closer to Harry, or perhaps just as close, as he is with his brothers.

Sev and Harry are advancing faster now and the setbacks are able to be dealt with. Both of their emotions are fully caught up in the other now, and neither is fighting the connection.

I think Sev would be an animal lover and this is the indication that he is a redeemable character; he is capable of kindness and caring, and that is beginning to overflow into his dealings with other wizards, particularly Harry. Of course he has to keep this side of himself secret, except in front of the select few.

But of course, snark and nastiness are still there...he has not turned into an angel, just a more tolerable human. The only one who knew this before was Albus.

    Thanks for reading

I like the way you depicted everyone's emotional maelstroms. Too true: when everyone's feelings are in an uproar, things can be hard to settle down. Nicely done.
My favorite line was by Harry: "Sorry about Pig...I know he will annoy the crap out of you." Harry does know his father to a certain degree, after all.

    Author's Response:

Thank you for reading and reviewing. Glad you enjoyed it. And yes, Harry is very quickly getting to know Sev..a combination of his previous dealings with the man, combined with the reluctant caring that Sev showed while Harry was sick and the glimpses of worry (that more often than not express themselves as anger) that he sees Severus displaying.

Of course, he wants to get to know his father..he craves this relationship. And Sev is beginning to realise that here is something being handed to him that he didn't even realise he wanted.

It is a shame that Snape and Harry are prone to misunderstandings but it does add spice to the story. Like how their relationship is evolving and am looking forward to the next chapter.

    Author's Response:

Thank you for this review Lunaz. Glad you're enjoying the story so far and looking forward to more.

Oh, I lve the image of Pigwidgeon flying in circles around Severus' head. It made me chuckle (I'd laugh out loud but my roommate is asleep and I don't want to wake her). I also love how gentle he was with the little thing. If only Dumbledore would have better timing. Now Sev is in a bad mood again.

I love how you are handling the characters and the plotline. It's flowing nicely and you have let us into the characters heads just enough whist filling in the other iinformation we need ot know with your excellent dialog. Keep up the good work!

    Author's Response:

Hi there! Glad you liked the Pig scene. I really enjoyed writing that. I do think that Minerva's ponderings are spot on. AWho would have thought? But I think Sev would be an animal lover. He would find it easier to get on with them than with people.

It's gratifying to know that you enjoy the dialogue. I try very hard to make it as natural as possible. Nice to know I have succeeded.

Thanks so much for your review.

real review this time. thanks for fixing the format! the long paragraph thing makes my eyes cross after a while. =) this is so believable from a character pov - you kind of want to hug and smack both of them constantly but it's totally to be expected considering their personalities, pasts and the craziness of their situation. love that bit at the end about pig - who knew he could be a severus snape fan? hope there are many more chapters ahead, i will be sorry when this is done.

    Author's Response:

Sorry about the format. Don't know what happened there. When I checked the format after I had uploded it, it looked perfectly normal and I went to bed as soon as I put it up. I didn't fix it...I was asleep. One of the administrators (a friend) did it for me, so thanks to Tabitha.

Glad you enjoyed the characters..I try really hard to keep them as much in character as the story will allow. And I have always thought that Sev would be an animal lover and that animals would like him. But saying that, I think that Pig is anyone's fan.

There's a ways to go yet before the story is finished, so you don't have to worry that it will be done too soon.

    Lesley.

    Lesley-

Thanks for the update! As usual, another great chapter. I thought Ron's reactions were natural and totally in character.

I would have loved it if Flitwick and Poppy had heard Minerva's comment about Sev being an old softy!

    Donna

    Author's Response:

Thanks Donna. Glad you enjoyed it and glad that you were happy with Ron. I think Flitwick and Poppy both might have their suspicions that Sev isn't totally the acerbic character he usually comes across as. They have known him for a long time, after all.

Seems like they're all growing up a bit. :D Good to see.

    Author's Response:

Thank you for your review. It's inevitable that the kids grow up and mature in their attitudes. And Sev is also doing a bit of growing up in the eomtions department.
