I adore this story. There are 47 chapters of it on ffnet and it was updated in 2014.
The humor, drama, anger, tenderness wisdom and range of feelings expressed between the families is really pleasing to immerse yourself in, and I read and re-read it. Will you Ever, dear authoress, ever update it again? Harry still doesn't know about his wild magic, Sev isn't a grandfather, and Theodore Nott and Draco havn't been rescued from Mr.Shifty Mc'Redeyes.
Please write more. I hoped lockdown gave pause and time to take up the quill again.. It is so well done. Even Our Potions master would approve.
    Waiting happily and patiently.

Hi! I have to say your story has sucessfully distracted me all week as I tackled it in one go. I was tempted to leave a comment several other times but I was too impatient to continue lol. Anyway I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your story, your characters are very believable and I thought Snape's changing into a father was well done. I especially like some comment Harry made in an earlier chapter about how this man was no coward. amazing how just giving another person a chance changes your opinions about them. I'm looking forward to seeing how you're going to twist HBP into your story. This is the first time I've come across Slughorn as a history teacher but I could see it happening. lol and I love the comments about Binns haunting the lounge! lol very nice.
Just wanted to let you know I have enjoyed your story. And now I will be getting on with my delayed classwork lol.
    Jennifer

Snape is really trying hard to do what's right for Harry's sake - but he's definitely getting a return on the effort too. It was nice for Harry to get a little bit of angst-free time - doubt it will last! Your Slughorn is just as unpleasant as the canon version, while I loved Snape's main reaction to Binns' retirement.

I did enjoy this very much! You described Slughorn brilliantly, the way he acted, how they met, everything about him was perfect. Sooo glad Binns is gone, though Slughorn is very annoying and it's not great to have him. Loved the way Severus was around Remus, that whole interaction was brilliant. What Severus was saying about worrying for Harry was so...incredible! Don't have the words for it. His thoughts about being a faher in law and a grandfather were brillant also. LOL, when he was spaced out, loved that. As always you have a remarable talent. Update soon!
