Reviews For No Difference
Author's Response: Hermione has been confronted with a dangerous mystery she has had to solve regardless of the people telling her not to at least once a year since she was eleven. It builds up a habit. Ginny, meanwhile, has been treated by her boyfriend as a child and less than his friends for a year, an she spent that year in Voldemort's version of Hogwarts because of it. There's a lot of resentment there.
I still can manage plenty of hate for this bunch of assholes, thought. God, why can't they each mind their own business. Author's Response: Thank you! I do my best to make everybody at fault and everybody at least partly a victim of the circumstances.
Author's Response: Me too. I mostly try to remember she's a child who just spent a year in hell, and she sees Snape to blame for a lot of it. And ron feels guilty as only a big brother can.
I'll go on, but I need to check dinner! Great chappie! Author's Response: Poor Ron. He might be Harry's best friend, but he's Ginny's brother. This was my "now stuff goes down!" chapter.
I find the whole thing interesting, about a parent having a child old enough to be THEIR parent. & Snape's grandparents(Lily & James) are/were the same age as him. Great story Author's Response: He doesn't respond well. No one is responding at all well in this fic to anything, and I like to keep to that pattern. Poor Snape, he doesn't just have grandparents his own age, but a massive amount of negative history with them. There are, however, worse things in the world than being ecstatic that one's grandfather got himself killed by a megalomaniac, and yes, I am foreshadowing. Thank you!
P.S. Mne ochen nravitsya tvoya istoriya!!!!!! Ok? I am repeating all that I said previously, but still... I like it! If I am wrong and you don't learn Russian, please let me know - or I'll write all the next rewiews in Russian!!!! )))) Author's Response: Spaciba! Ya Goviyu po-Russki chut chut, a Ya uchu. Please continue to send me reviews in Russian. It make take me longer to get back to you, but I do need the practice.
Good luck! And I am waiting for a new chapter! Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you like it. Everything is getting complicated, yes, and will get more so before the end, but I have the end outlined, so I know exactly how I wrap up the loose ends. Thanks again, I'm pretty good at getting chapters out regularly!
Author's Response: Whether Ginny takes it well or not is immaterial. The eavesdropping third and fifth year have it all over the school in record time. I like Ron, actually, more than I let on, and I’m glad you liked how he interacted with his baby sister. Harry does his emotional growing in spurts, I think.
Author's Response: First of all, the strange thing about this story is that it isn't terribly AU. It keeps with everything except a slight change to the Epilogue. Albus' middle name is oh so slightly different. I think you're a bit harsh on them. They are after all teenagers, and if I found out my significant other were following me around and spying on me, I'd be unspeakably POed. Second of all, If you think that Harry is that unlikable in canon, how did you sit though seven books of him and then 21 chapters of my fic? How did you get yourself into reading fanfiction, especially on a Harry and Snape Gen fic website?
I have to admit that I really liked this chapter. Everyone seeing the other person's faults and when they had their own pointed out they just pointed the attention back to the other. A nice little blame game. I found myself thinking several times in this that they were doing a good job of being their ages. Both Ginny and Harry were acting so grown up one moment but not the next. Author's Response: Thank you! I’m so glad you think they are being age appropriate. Trying to keep them all true to character and as believable as possible is my main goal. They’re both getting up on their high horses while trying to drag each other off of them. It was a lot of fun to write. |
