Yay Quibbler! I thought you handled the news articles very well. Yay you! And it did sound like the respecting sides. I just can't help but feel sorry for both the boys though. Poor Snape just can't get a break, and he doesn't know what to do. It's so sad really. And I wish people would just lay off him. But the end where Harry and Snape actually speak ALMOST civil was a nice change of pace. lol I think they could get used to that.

I'm a little sad I'm almost done here...oh well, I intend to enjoy this! ^_^

    Author's Response:

Thanks, I'm glad you like them.  They're really easy for me compared to other parts of the story, so it's partly a quick way for me to pad my wordcount.

Oh, I got to that part and went "Yes, yes YES, I did it, threshold crossed!  Okay, back to story."

Lovely chapter. I loved the end between Snape and Harry. Snape is just arguing to argue at this point. LOL I love your Harry in this story. He is wonderful. Thanks!

Author's Response: Harry and Snape are finally starting to creek towards a resolution.  It was a lot of fun to write them arguing about little things because they didn't know how to do anything else.

I know I've already given you plenty of reviews on LJ, but since I came across your fic here as well, I thought I'd just add to the positive reviews to encourage more people to read your great fic!

Author's Response: Encourage all you want!  I love this archive.

I love seeing the progress in this chapter. We can see Severus starting to come to terms with the total disruption of his whole self-concept--and his concept of Harry. It was really good to see him make a little progress. And I am enjoying watching Harry notice the ways he and Severus are similar. And Ginny still worries me greatly. At this point, it will take a lot for me to warm back up to her. I suppose this could be a major case of Weasley-temper, but it comes across as something more problematical.

    Author's Response:

More like a case of boneheaded stubbornness than Weasley temper, that and fear manifesting itself as boldness.  Remember, Snape has her in detention every night, and he’s been making her pay for the news articles even though she didn’t leak them to the press, just to the students of Hogwarts (though one did lead to the other).  She’s also feeling very guilty, but doesn’t want to admit she’s wrong.

I’m glad I finally got Harry and Snape to the point at which they can have a snippy little fight that doesn’t turn into a huge row.  Granted, it was right after a huge row, but it’s progress.

I enjoy writing those little moments of “Oh my God, my genes actually manifest in him!” and at some point I need to have Snape do a “he really is related to me!”  Poor Snape, his self image is finally changing.
