    ok.
    Oh. Wow.
    This was actually quite awesome.
I had no idea i would enjoy it this much. I love this chapter, the epilogue. It was really well done.

I wonder how snape acted at Harry and Ginny's wedding.......?

    Author's Response:

Lol, I think you're my first reviewer to have read through my whole story at once the first time around.  I'm glad thw whole is to your satisfaction.

He sat in the back, folded his arms, scowled, and bit his tongue.

It is a really nice story. Long and lovely. Mila

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.  Writing it occasionally felt a bit like an epic undertaking.

Haha, the two last words are really glorious. This story is so great (which is why I am rereading it). Mila

    Author's Response:

I'm really quite flattered that you like it enough to reread it.  If you're interested, I'm going to be posting the first chapter of another novel length fic on my Livejournal on the first of November.  Unfortunately, it doesn't fit the requirements of this site (being as it doesn't have Harry in it) so I can't post it here.

Were you referring to the last two words of this chapter, or to the story as a whole?

Liked the wizengamot bashing. Liked it very much.
I guess there is no chance Harry and Severus started a revolution? Pity.
    Mila

    Author's Response: I'm a political science major.   I can't help myself.

No revolutions, no, but they do produce enough discontent with the system that it loosened up and had elections because it feared revolution.

The one thing I'm curious about is this, does severus still look like a Potter, or has the glamour been replaced at this point.

    Author's Response:

I stated earlier in the story that the glamour can't be replaced because of the type of glamour, so he still looks like a Potter. Poor bastard.

I think you did a nice job developing Harry. He seemed so mature in the difficult situation he was in when he time traveled. Then again when he had to develop a relationship with Snape--after being a kid again. He showed signs of growing into an incredible man in both instances once he realized that his anger was actually getting him no-where. As for Snape, I'm sorry that he had no resolution left to him besides a grudging acceptance of the situation. Wasn't realizing that he never could have had Lilly enough for him to finally move on? I thought he was going to destroy Harry when he mocked him over creating the death of the Potter's through his actions and condemning himself as well as Snape to the life's that they had lived to that point. And Harry's reactions in wondering about his own unhappy childhood I thought would have broken anyone else. I was surprised that two points were left unexplored that I was interested in following: The Belby thefts and the Wizengamot letter. Considering Harry himself pointed out that Snape would have been ideal for the subterfuge and backstabbing it would have taken to navigate that august body, I'm sorry you couldn't have manipulated the situation that another Potter had accepted it (Snape). And the Belby thefts played such an important role in Snape's life--denying him the respect and fortune he deserved for his brilliance, left me hanging. Otherwise, your ending was good and as you noted it did stick with the most important relationship central to your story. Congratulations on a terrific story!

    Author's Response:

I do address Belby briefly in the short story "Literary Minds" that I'm writing in the same universe.  I contemplated having Harry manipulate the Wizengamot into accepting Snape instead, but I rather thought that even if Harry had, Snape would have refused.  He deserves his rest.  Harry is outspoken in his later days against the Wizengamot, if it's any comfort.

Snape is never someone to make things easy on himself.  On the other hand, I don't think this leaves him more tortured than he was before, just differently tortured, if that makes any sense.  He isn't well suited to contentment.  Even if he had gotten over lily, he probably wouldn't enjoy sharing his life with someone else.  He likes his solitude.

I'm glad you liked my characterization of Harry.  In canon, he goes through so much at such a young age that toughens him and grows him up before his time.  I tried to bring that maturity, but also his youth and temper to him in this fic.  It's been a lot of fun to write, but I do get a lot of pleasure from finishing.

you left so many things unresolved...the lockhartish potions master for one...it might do the story good if you wrote an expanded version.

Author's Response: Some of that will be resolved in the short story that I'm writing to accompany this (Belby for one, Malfoy for another), but I intended it to be somewhat open ended.

I truly enjoyed reading this story. Right from the beginning when Harry went back in time and met Snape's mother you had me hooked. Thank you for allowing us to read your story.

Author's Response: thank you!  It's been a lot of fun  to write, and a lot of fun to hear what people think about it.
