Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm happy you enjoyed it. I tried to set the mood, and by now, Harry knows Ron and Hermione better than they know themselves, and vice versa. I'll PM you about beta-ing. Thanks again!
It seems like Harry is on the verge of a depression(or in the middle of one). I liked how you wrote his outlook on life. It's how I always pictured Harry would have been, if JK hadn't intended this as a childrens book. Keep up the good work:) Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, Harry is suffering from depression, and things will get worse before they get better, but I do love a happy ending.
I really like this start! Your character descriptions are perfect and in-depth. I just love them, especially Snape's. I can't wait to read the next chapter, hopefully your mind keeps pestering you about it... I really liked how you showed Harry's grief too. It never made much sense to me how in the books Harry wasn't too bothered by Sirius' death. I would have been seriously depressed if the only chance I had at family died in front of my eyes and I believed it was my fault. So I think you've captured it very well. I also loved the internal monologue from Harry weighing the pro's and con's of eating in the Great Hall. It was also nice to know that Snape was lurking in the shadows, watching Harry...right? That's what he was doing, not just coinsidentaly coming up to the GH to eat himself and saw Malfoy try to hex Harry? I hope so... Good luck with the next chapter when you get around to it, I can't wait to read it! Have a good week!! Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you're happy, now you have to hurry and start posting your fic! Oh, my mind pesters me plenty, about both my stories; it's finding the time to write without neglecting my family that can be tricky. Yeah, I know what you mean about Sirius' death and Harry's reaction. I can understand what Rowling was thinking...she wanted to show that Harry had grown and matured, and since he was so angsty in OotP, I think she didn't want to drag that into HBP, but wanted to concentrate more on the action. But I thought it was a little unrealistic to think that Harry could recover so quickly. Course I really just love angst and mush anyway. I'd be happy even if there was no real plot as long as the story has lots of cuddles and sweet emotional scenes. Yeah, Sev is keeping a close eye on Harry, even if he's not too fond of him yet. But that'll come. Thanks again!
