Reviews For Slave Child
Now, that's really unfair - giving us such a great chapter and then you tell us you won't post the next chapter for a while! Moreover, you're the right one to talk about cliffies... ;-) *teddy looks for her wand, points it at Kristeh, mumbles 'Imperius - update this story first!'* Poor Harry - is he enslaved to Draco or ...?? *biting my fingers off waiting for the next chapter* Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm sooo happy you like this story...I have to admit I'm in love with it, too, but I am committed to "Potions Professor" and need to work on that one for a bit, too. You'll find out Harry's fate in chapter 3. Oh, and I'm resistant to the Imperius curse...I'm very strong-willed, just ask my husband!
Author's Response: Thank you!
I can't wait for Snape's excursion to the Dursleys. I have a feeling he is in for quite an eye opening experience. He will surely find out that the Dursleys have absolutely no concern for the welfare of their nephew. All of Snape's preconceived ideas about Harry's home life are about to come crashing down around him. I hope he has a sturdy umbrella. Anyway, I'm really anxious to find out what exactly Malfoy did to Harry. Sounds a bit ominous. Thanks for the update and I hope to hear from you soon. Author's Response: Thank you! I'm sorry, I really am...but I do need to update "Potions Professor" next, and I have a family, and I haven't yet discovered a job that will pay me to write fanfics all day. If only I could find one of those, I could update much more frequently! I do really love this story, and I'm already going crazy imagining some lovely mushy, hurt/comfort scenes for later, so I will try to get on with this one asap. But I love writing "Potions Professor" too! You will find out what Draco did to Harry in chapter 3. I had planned for it to be in ch. 2, but then realised I needed to work out a few more details.
Author's Response: Thank you so much!
Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, I'm thinking that Draco will be redeemed in this fic, but I don't think he'll be a major character for a while still. I will tell you that he is eventually going to end in Remus and Tonks' custody, won't that be fun! And I love putting in little hints for later. Isn't foreshadowing great?
Author's Response: Thank you, Azalea! It'll be "Potions Professor" next.
Author's Response: Thank you!
You really think so, Severus? I don't!! Goody goody!! I was so happy and surprised to see an update! I'll be even more surprised and happy for the next chapter, when you have time for it! It was nice to see Severus concerned about Harry's safety...if not just because he's the one hope the wizarding world has against Voldemort. But still, that's likely to change soon, right? Interesting history with Draco (and Severus too!) and his parents. That's really sad that it exists that way for him but what can you do...pureblood families these days, sheesh! I also just loved how you brought Draco into the interrigation in Dumbledore's office. It was fun watching him attempt to squirm his way out of it, but then self-preservation kicked in! Poor Draco...poor Harry...poor Severus...none of them know what you've got in store... Well, like I said, can't wait for the next chapter!! Just update when you can, here or Potions Professor!! Have an enjoyable weekend! Author's Response: You honestly don't think Severus is going to have quiet, kid-free summer? Hmm, maybe I'll surprise you. But that wouldn't be much fun to write, I suppose. Oh, yes, Severus will eventually come to care for Harry greatly, but not for a little while yet. And yeah, poor Draco...I have to make him a little more sympathetic, too. I don't think I'd want Lucius and Narcissa for parents, would you? I'm working on "Potions Professor" tonight, but I'm not sure how much I'll get done. We'll see. Thanks again!
Good story! Author's Response: Thank you, Kim! I'm happy you noticed how Severus compared Harry and Draco. He sympathises with Draco because he knows that Draco has suffered. He doesn't realise yet that Harry and Draco actually have a great deal in common, at least in that Harry has been abused and neglected, too. Severus is too blinded by his own prejudices to see that he's been wrong about the kind of person that Harry is. But I wanted to lay the groundwork for Sev softening up towards Harry once he understands that Harry has suffered, too. I'm actually a little nervous about how I'm going to make the plot and sub-plots work out, but I'll just have to try my best. That's all I can do, right? The main problem I have with the beginnings of my stories is taking my time to set things up. I have all these scenes in my mind for later on, wonderful, angsty mushy scenes that I'm dying to write, but I have to make myself slow down and not rush things. Anyway, thanks again, and I hope I can get "Potions Professor" updated soon.
I'm not getting a good feeling about this spell, and it seems Albus isn't either. Hmmm.. I'll definitely be looking forward to the next chapter! Author's Response: Thank you! No, I wouldn't want to get on Dumbledore's bad side, either. He's quite a formidable opponent. The spell is kind of a two-edged sword, I suppose. It takes a great deal away from Harry, for a time it will seem to destroy his life, in his opinion. But in the end, it will give him his greatest desire, too. |
