Reviews For Slave Child
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm working on it!
I could actually almost feel the pain Harry was in but also the emotional pain that Snape was going through as well and only a true writer can do that. :) Great job! Truely amazing chapter! Author's Response: Oh, thank you! That means a lot, because this chapter was hard to write, and really, I was dissatisfied with it, and afraid it would disappoint readers. So I'm really glad you all have seemed to enjoy it! Your comments about being able to empathise with both Harry and Severus mean a lot, too, because that is what I'm trying to do...to show both viewpoints, and even if Severus is a jerk to Harry right now, to show that he does have the potential to be really great with Harry. It's hard to do. Thanks again!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm working on it. I admit I'm a little nervous about the next few chapters...it's a tricky point in the relationship between Severus and Harry, where they can begin to get to know one another, but not become too close too soon. I'll just have to do my best, I suppose. Thanks again!
oh.... yeah, can't wait to see what's next now that Severus knows that Harry didn't read his journal. Author's Response: Thank you! As for Sev, well, he will be forced to admit that he's misjudged Harry about some things, and maybe it will make him begin to see that he's been wrong all along.
Author's Response: Thank you! Sorry for the cliffie...I guess I'll have to try to work on not ending chapters on one, but so often they make a good stopping point! I am already working on chapter 9.
Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, Severus will feel pretty guilty, but he does have it coming, don't you think? I've begun chapter 9 and hope to finish it tonight and get it sent off to my betas.
Author's Response: Yeah, I know it was horrible. It was hard to write...I'm a real softie. I can never read torture scenes in fics. But I did think it would take somthing pretty drastic, and something where Severus had to admit that he'd been in the wrong, to make him open his eyes and be willing to get to know the real Harry. And something pretty drastic to make Harry decide that he'd rather die than live at Severus' mercy. Thanks a lot! |
