Reviews For Slave Child
Its a bizare angle to take, very original not just a new squeeze on an old line- snape sees dudley's, Snape rescue's harry, Snape sees the real harry, Snape Adopts harry, the end- this is genuinely interesting, i can't wait for Harry to explode lol. Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad things are better at work, too.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'll try!
Author's Response: Thank you! It should be coming up in the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you! I hoped it would be believable, it seemed like a 'Slytherin' sort of way for Sev to go about learning about Harry at this point, especially since Harry is sleeping and Sev can't interact directly with him yet. And yeah, I think Harry really does need Severus.
Author's Response: Thank you! Sorry, I really did try to make this chapter longer, but by the end of it, I was just too tired to do justice to the next scene (Harry and Severus face to face again), and I wanted to post what I'd already done.
Sorry for nagging. But you are doing a great job!!! I believe, according to your pattern, that Potions Professor is due. F.Y.I: your doing a FANTASTIC JOB on these two stories and look forward to reading them. (I had a question though,I'd like to write a fanfic too, however, I'm not quite sure how to start. Like what are the rules? If you could give me any tips at all I'd GREATLY apprecaite it.) Back to your story. Againg GREAT JOB!!!!!!! And i look forward to your updates. Thanks for reading and writing. Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, I'm working on "Potions Professor" this weekend, and hope to have the next chapter up in a day or two. As for writing your own fanfic, there are no real rules to it. Everyone has their own style and what works for some doesn't for others, but for me, planning is the key. I usually imagine a general idea and several important scenes, and make an outline. Then I go back and start making it a lot more detailed...the more detailed the better, just figuring out how the characters' feelings will change, what events are going to happpen, etc. I carry a notebook around that has all my notes, and when I get ready to begin a chapter, I usually make a quick list of things that I want to happen in that chapter. Also, though, be flexible and willing to change your plans. Sometimes the characters end up having a mind of their own. Good luck!
I liked that way you got into Harry's head and the deft transitions of point of view throughout the entire chapter. You characterizations were spot on as well. Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Author's Response: Thank you! Oh, don't worry...Harry and Severus will get there eventually. I'm so happy you like the characterizations...it's important to me. Got to do another chapter of PP first, but I'll try to get back here asap.
I do wonder how Harry will handle Snape's apology. How quickly will he be willing to accept a new Snape? I would imagine he will probably verbally accept it, but I would think it will take a long time for him to truly accept that the new Snape can really be trusted. Author's Response: Thank you! I think you're right about how Harry will handle the apology and Severus' apparent change of heart. He's too wily to openly deny Severus' apology, but I don't think he'll take the words at face value, either...I mean, this is Snape, here, after all! Severus will have to earn Harry's trust.
It's horrible what happened to Harry, but you portray him so well! He's angry at Snape (with good reason) and curious as to why he cares so much. You also write Severus well! I love his thoughts, this constant tipping between "Harry is a pompus teenager, just like his father" and "Harry's an ok kid"...I can't wait until they have this discussion that I just know is coming up soon!! Good luck with the next chapter! Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, it was pretty horrible for Harry, but it will lead to Severus' change of heart. And yeah, Sev's struggling with his paradigm shift right now, too. It's hard for him to admit that he was wrong, especially when it means he has to admit that he's mistreated Harry for years, but he already has had to see that he was wrong in some ways, and Severus is not one to shie away from facing the truth, even when it's hard. |
