Reviews For Slave Child
Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, Harry and Severus are both so uncertain right now. Severus is really beginning to want things to be different, but isn't entirely sure how to admit that he was wrong and make amends, or if he even can do that, and Harry of course doesn't dare trust him yet. I'm glad you liked the new rooms. I saw that as being kind of an important step for Severus. Before, when he stuck Harry way up on the top floor all alone, he was trying to put as much distance between them as possible. Giving Harry the suite of rooms next to him was a lot more than just giving him nicer rooms, or even more than being able to keep an eye on him. It was really acknowledging that Harry belongs at Prince Hall now and is a part of his life, though Severus himself might not consciously realise that yet. And letting Harry write back to his friends was one more of those small things, that can really mean a lot. It would have been a petty mean-ness to have refused Harry, and before Severus probably would have done just that, but now he can see that there's really no reason to deny Harry, and that it is one little thing he can do to try to make up for the past mistakes he's made. Thanks again!
Author's Response: Thank you! I hate trying to write that "tip-toeing around" phase. Writing mean, snarky Sev and Harry can be fun, and I adore close, loving Sev and Harry, but that in-between stage is really hard! Glad you liked it! And I did want to show Severus starting to make some changes in his attitude, wanting to understand Harry and to help, so I'm glad that worked all right.
Can't wait for the next chapter! Update soon! Author's Response: Thank you! Hmm, what will Harry do about the room situation? Right now he's wanting to move back to the old one, but a week can be a long time so he just might change his mind by then...
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm going to try to make the next chapter longer. It had just been a while since I'd updated, and I started feeling like I should just go ahead and get something posted, even if it wasn't very long.
Author's Response: Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Author's Response: Thank you! Voldie will make his appearance before summer is over. I'm still working on the details, but I have the general idea of it already planned. Hopefully it will live up to expectations, though I admit I'm more focused on Severus, Harry, and the emotional angsty side of things. |
