Is draco going to end up living with them? I can't tell. I hope Harry starts to trust Snape to be a good person. I bet Harry asks to see his friends for his birthday. Anyway thanks for writing such a magnificent story

Okay, so I'm still at the far beginning of the story, but I thought I'd let you know I love it quite a lot. Harry's fear and pain make me physically hurt, which is actually a good thing since it means your writing is evocative. =) And watching a cautious Snape is extremely interesting. On to the next chapter, then! Thanks for writing!

I love this chapter. I really like the way that you are showing Severus' like and care for Harry growing like the mild teasing and the soft whisper of him saying that he would like Harry to be at the dinner as well.
Harry's distrust and over submissiveness catching his eye is also great. I felt horribly sorry for Harry when he said that maybe Remus didnt want to talk to him since he was responsible for Sirius' death. Poor kid.
I love love love the part about him not waking Harry but instead lifting him and dressing him in pajamas and tucking him in.

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, Severus is really starting to care for Harry and is trying to find ways to show it, without being too blatant. Harry may begin to trust him a little bit soon, or at least become willing to give Severus an opportunity to build trust, and Harry and Remus do have matters to clear up too, though that won't happen for a while. Glad you liked Severus tucking Harry in...I enjoyed writing it, too. I'm about halfway through chapter 15, and I'm going to try to finish it tonight. We'll see how it goes...

Another good chapter. I am so happy whenever I see that you've posted! I like snape's slow steps - now he's tucking Harry in and petting him - although it seems it will be a long time before Harry can take a first step toward trusting Snape. seems like it would take a major shock to get Harry to trust Snape at this point.
Author's Response: Thank you! I enjoyed writing Severus putting Harry to bed, too. I don't think he'd let himself be that open if Harry were awake, but he's really starting to care. I'm going to work on Harry maybe beginning to take some baby steps towards Severus, too, soon...maybe in the next chapter. I think a part of Harry really would like to begin to trust Severus, or at least to see if they could work through the past, but he's still so unsure that Severus won't take advantage and use any 'softness' against him later. Severus' actions are showing his changing attitude, and Harry is noticing, but I think you're right that Harry needs something more concrete...he needs more than just little vague hints that Severus is changing. He needs Severus to really open up to him before he can really open up to Severus...so it'll take a little more time.
