Reviews For Slave Child
Poor Morland. I'm glad Harry was there to help him, though it looked like maybe he didn't need help since Draco didn't seem to be his usual nasty self. Maybe he really has learned something from all this. Can't wait to see what's next and I'd like to learn more about Draco. Thanks! Author's Response: Thank you so much, Tabitha! Yeah, the Slytherin issue is kind of tricky. The truth is that right now there are a lot of bad seeds in Slytherin. Quite a few of them come from DE families, and if not actual DEs, a lot have families that do believe in pureblood supremacy. It's like a poisonous root in Slytherin, from the time Tom Riddle was there (maybe even further back what with Salazar Slytherin's basilisk), and even with Voldie gone, it's still going to take a while before it all dies out. Like Hermione said, the troubles go back for years and it's not going to smooth out overnight. Still, there are some good Slytherins and it's not right to be prejudiced against everyone from that House. I suppose the best way is to treat everyone as an individual, but as Ron said, watch your step until you know them. Maybe Draco is beginning to learn something, or maybe he's just afraid of being expelled, hmm. I am trying to get to more of his story, but I don't want to rush it...we will get there eventually, though, promise.
I was so glad to see that you'd posted. So is Malfoy really watching his step? Interesting. Poor Harry, it must be so frustrating for him to have these restrictions on him constantly and to have the Slavery spell affect every aspect of his life. I can't wait for your next update! Yippeeee! :) Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I certainly hope the writer's block is over! Yes, poor Harry, it is frustrating. Even though Severus is so good with him and in most of the practical ways, Harry's life is very good now, I think the emotional aspect of it, just knowing that he is a slave, is very hard and always will be. And I am soooo eager for another chapter of "An Uncertain Future", too! Look's like we'll both be busy, lol!
