Ok now I need to know how they're going to act around eachother.
This has to be one of my very favorite chapters. I think it's because you were so worried about how people would take Draco's introduction into the household but you certainly needn't have worried, you accomplished it very well and didn't detract from Harry at all. I see Draco as a welcome addition to this household because of how you've written this, when I usually only see him as an interloper, someone people who hate Harry, Ron and Hermione include as their real story. Your story is not like that and I love you for that. That, and it's so well written you can't help but be enthralled by it, page by page. Very believable chapter. Very nasty cliff hanger. I'm am, as always, a huge fan!
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Kim! Well, Draco is more difficult for me; I have a harder time getting inside his head than Harry's and Severus', but I try. And of course I love Harry and Ron and Hermione! Thanks again; I really appreciate all your help and encouragement.
I've really been enjoying this story thus far. I really like how the slave charm has effected harry's emotions and decisions. I only have one thing nagging at the back of my mind; Will Ginny prove to Harry that his status doesn't matter to her, or is she going to do nothing and never get together with Harry?
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm happy you're enjoying it. Well, romance is never going to play much of a role in Slave Child, or my other stories because I greatly prefer writing gen fic and focusing on Harry and Severus. That being said, I am going to write an event around Christmas, perhaps a Yule Ball or just a party of some kind, where Harry needs a date. I am not completely sure who, but am leaning towards Ginny because I have already had Harry notice that she was very pretty back at King's Cross when they were boarding the Hogwarts Express. This event will be the catalyst for a discussion about dating and marriage in the future. Thanks again!

I read this last night and this is such a fantastic cliffhanger with so many possibilities (both good and bad!) as to what Draco's doing in Harry's room and what he's up to... that I ended up dreaming about this story! I woke up still thinking about Draco and what he's doing there.
So... just thought you ought to know. I'm really enjoying this story! :)

Dun dun DUNNNN! Nice ending to the chapter!!! I really like where you have taken the story in the last couple of chapters. I thought it would take longer before Draco and Harry confronted each other, though. Can hardly wait to hear what excuse Draco has for this.... Also, thank you thank you THANK YOU for making it clear that Harry is still Severus' priority - that he cares about Draco and is concerned under the rage - but Harry is still his son. So often when Draco enters the story BAM suddenly Severus has 2 kids and then they're OH LOOK INSTANT BROTHERS HAPPY EVER AFTER - yeah rite!!! So I really like what you've been doing here.
Author's Response: Thank you! No, I don't want to go that route, though there are some really excellent stories that do. I mean no slight to them, but I want Harry to have his father to himself in Slave Child. Though Severus may still play a role in Draco's life, it won't be as a father. I have something else in mind for all of them...
Oh, I love this fic and your other fics and your writing style and the gorgeous way you depict Harry and Severus but... do you really have to leave it at such horrible cliff-hangery-like moments?! It's mean... *stomps foot*... besides that though I really do love this fic, it's mostly because of your fics and others like it that I finally signed up in the first place, so thanks - especially for chapter 24 in which you showed just how brilliantly you write - and think - and through which I'm sure I wasnt the only person who found solace during a bad time, so really, thank you ^-^
Cant wait to read more... never can, its just that now I get to say so hehe ^-^

Eeek!Poor Harry, that must have been quite a shock for him to find Draco in his room like that lol, I wonder how Severus will be reacting to that :)

Awesome Chapter - the end was tooooooo much - can't wait to see what happens. Hope there are many many many more chapters in this story!!

I'm not sure how many chapters there will end up being, but there are still things to happen and that I want to explore, and I'm playing around with ideas for a sequel to see if I can come up with enough for whole story, so you may see lots more of the SC world.
