Reviews For Slave Child
Well, when Harry was hurting, even he did say some and do some hurtful things to Severus, it's just that the magnitude of Harry's was very less compared to Draco's mistakes. I just didn't defend Draco. Who says I defended Draco? Err, I mean Malfoy? No, I didn't, anyone who says so will be strangled by me after I have strangled Drac- I mean Malfoy.
Author's Response: Thank you! It is harder for Ron and Hermione to understand. Harry knows this but of course Ron's words still hurt and angered him. They need to work it out, but their friendship is strong...Ron really was just being protective of Harry; he just wasn't very sensitive about it. Thanks again. I hope to have the next chapter finished in another day.
Author's Response: Thank you! LOL, yeah, Ron isn't always the most tactful person, is he? He did mean well. He is just very upset with Draco for harming Harry, and he isn't there to see how Draco is changing so it is hard for him to accept. But he shouldn't have said such a hurtful thing to Harry.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Well, I'm working on the chapter this weekend. I had hoped to write a bit while on vacation last week, but that didn't happen. But I am hoping to get it finished within a few days.
Author's Response: Thanks, Tabitha! I do love Harry and think that he's an awesome kid. Remus does care for Harry, of course, but he has difficulties letting himself really get close to anyone. I think he'd have self-esteem issues from being a werewolf, and even more he'd be afraid of opening up to someone after losing so many people he loved. He definitely needs to work through these things. Thanks again!
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter and I will try to update more quickly. Yes, there's still lots to sort out, and there are still some dangerous characters out there as well, so still a lot can happen.
Ron means well though; afterall, this IS Draco Malfoy we're talking about! I can't blame Ron totally for being suspicious of Draco's intentions and his "Paragram Shift", to quote Aspen's Snape! Draco and Harry have had a rather spotty past. I do like, however, like how Harry has seemingly forgiven Draco for past trangressions--or at the very least, he's seemed to put it all in the past, and is even finding it in his heart to let go of his resentment and hatred of Draco, and attempt to forgive him for casting the slavery spell upon him. I really like this new truce the two boys have, and I would love to see them become friends eventually; that is...if Ron can get past his grudge against Draco to give him a chance to prove that he has no mal-intent towards Harry. I fully understand Draco's fear of Remus, but I thought that Remus and Harry assuaged his fears, in a very sensitive and considerate way. I just hope that Draco can let go of his fears of Remus and give him a chance. The poor boy really needs a family, and someone who will be gentle and kind with him, and teach him a whole new set of morals--different from Lucius' predjudiced outlook towards those who are different, or non-magical. I especially enjoyed that little teasing between Harry and Severus. Severus' stern warning to avoid his usual dangerous stunts on a broom, coated in a teasing manner, was just too cute. Aw, I feel so bad for Harry that Ron spoilt his happiness by his hatred for Draco and mistrust. I can't wait for the next chapter. I really hope that Ron makes it up to Harry, and tries to be a little more supportive of Harry's decisions. Great chapter as usual Kristeh. Author's Response: Wow, thank you, Pandora! Yeah, Ron means well, but yeah, he definitely could have been more sensitive. But yeah, it's hard for him and for Hermione to really believe that Draco has changed so much because they haven't seen him. And they are very angry and upset with Draco for all the harm he has done for Harry. They may not forgive that as quickly as Harry himself has done. I'm glad you liked all those little parts. They were fun to write, and I'm really looking forward to exploring Remus' issues, too. Thank you, and I can't wait for another chapter from you!
Author's Response: Thank you! Well, Ron means well. He and Hermione are very protective of Harry and are angry on his behalf. Plus, they haven't been around Draco to see how he's changing and has been affected. But yeah, Ron could have handled the situation better. It wasn't a kind thing to say to Harry. It will all work out in the end, but I thought we needed a little more conflict in the meantime. Thanks again. |
