I am loving this so much. I especially adore that Snape has invited Harry to call him Severus. I also love that Harry intuitively realizes that if he doesn't it will hurt Snape's feelings. And, above all, I love that Harry doesn't want to hurt Severus' feelings. That's just so---- aaww!

I occurs to me, Snape is being really great, and I don't want to take away from that. However, Harry is being really great also. He is not being petulant or resentful towards Snape, not even in his private thoughts. Both of them deserve major props. :) :)

Author's Response: Thanks again.  Yes, Harry is being very open to seeing Severus in a new light, too.  Perhaps its a bit OOC, but I think the slavery spell and everything that has happened since has had a big effect on Harry and he's feeling very insecure and unsure of things right now.

This scene is so sweet in its simplicity; yet so full of unspoken emotion. i love it. it made me tear up, just a little. Wonderful, evocative writing:

He blinked several times and swallowed before looking up at Severus, meeting his eyes for the first time in days.

    "Thank you."

Severus had had doubts about returning the cloak...in the past, he had highly disapproved of the way Harry had used it to sneak about, and he had fully intended to lecture and warn the boy about using it wisely. But somehow, looking down into Harry's shining eyes, he couldn't bring himself to ruin the moment. He could save the lecture for later, he supposed.

Instead he replied softly, "You're welcome."

Author's Response: Oh, thank you!  It's nice to have a new reader again.

I enjoyed this chapter. I like the way you describe Prince Hall. I can envision it so clearly that it feels nearly like I am actually there. I imagine that it looks a bit like Downton Abbey.

Author's Response: Oh, I LOVE Highclere Castle!  I fell in love with it way back in the 1980's when it was Misselthwaite Manor in Hallmark's "The Secret Garden".  I'd watch Downton Abbey even if I didn't like the plot (which I do) just to see Highclere, lol!  And though Alnwick Castle is lovely, to me, Glamis Castle in Scotland is the PERFECT Hogwarts, and its how I picture Hogwarts in my own mind.

Finally, Severus is beginning to see what Harry is truly like.

Author's Response: Yes, slowly but surely.  Many people have a difficult time admitting that they were in the wrong, and Severus even more so than most, but he's getting there.

I'm very anxious to read what happens next.

    Author's Response: Thank you!

I just thought about this story while I was looking for something to read and couldn't remember if it was finished or not so I came to take a peek...it's not, and that's a huuuuge shame because it was an awesome, well written and thought out story :) I hope you consider writing some more to it and that you are well :)

Author's Response: Thank you!  Right now my muse has abandoned me, I'm afraid.  I pushed myself to get the slavery issue resolved so that at least that part wouldn't be left hanging.  I do think I might come back to writing it sometime; I still have ideas for this story, but just finding the time and motivation to write is difficult for now.

Just when things are all nice and shiny, someone had to go and let those two... people loose. D: Loved the return to Hogwarts--great to 'see' the place again.

I have but one tiny problem with this chapter, at the moment. There is no Next button, Kristeh. I need a Next button. It is most necessary. *nods for emphasis*

Author's Response: Thank you, DP!  I'm really glad you're still reading and enjoying SC.  I am thinking about continuing on with, the trouble is that I'm just not feeling creative.  How about telling my muse to come back and visit me this Christmas?

*rolls around giddily from all the feels*

This. This, this, this. It just gave me warm fuzzies all over. ^^ If you could see through the screen, you would see me grinning like an idiot. It's horrifying, I'm sure; be glad you can't. :P

Though this would have been a delightful (and warm fuzzy) conclusion, I'm glad there is more. I'd have been sad to see it go!

Right, so just getting around to catching up on this one...

HOLY CRAP. O_O I had thought I'd read this chapter, and was just rereading to pick up the thread of where I had been oh, so long ago, but I certainly didn't remember that cliffie! Surely, it would have killed me...

Wha--huh... just... *flails and shakes head bewilderedly before promptly proceeding to next chapter*
