It’s gratifying to see that Harry is starting to trust Snape. I appreciated another inside look at your view of how occluding works.

The wall of mist/ice was a nice touch. As was Snape's comment to Harry about not trying to erect walls in another wizard's mind. I wonder what Harry will come up with as a wall? Looking forward to finding out.

Jeebus...Just when I'm really getting into it, there's no more. *pouts* Please more?

    Author's Response:

I'm going to try to update this one at least once before I go back to school in September. It's more difficult, in many ways, than Faith, because the plot is (at least in my head), much more complex.

    Thank you for your review!

I really like the details of occlumancy that you have written. The interaction between Harry and Snape is realistic and the chapter flows quite well. Hope to see the next one soon!

This story is really good and the way that you have developed the characters of Snape and Harry is good as well. It seems quite believable, but maybe Harry should not be quite so accepting of Snape's insults.
I really like your story and please update soon.

    Author's Response:

You bring up an interesting and important point, and I will be aware of it in future. I have attempted to have Harry react, on a visceral level, a bit differently to Snape in the physical world versus in their minds; I have also tried to have Snape's rather routine insults lose some of their long-held vitriol. I shall have to work on that.

Thank you for reviewing, and for your criticism. I am glad you have been enjoying the story nonetheless.

Raced through this, sorry, I love your descriptions of their minds especially Harry's bare room! Just wondering has Dumbledore got is withered arm in this story? Thank you for this inspiring story

    Author's Response:

Yes, he has; it's not that relevant to the story thus far, so I didn't see the need to mention it.

Thank you for the review, and for your kind words!

I hope that what Severus has revealed within his mind will help Harry to figure out how to occlude his mind. He needs to visualize something that he can maintain without really thinking about it...I think perhaps stone and bricks is the wrong choice. He needs something more flexible and movable, like fire or water.

I think that they are beginning to find ways to trust each other, but it is still quite touch and go at times. I wonder if Harry will ever admit the secret behind his sudden turn-around in Potions...and how would Harry react when he found out who the Half-blood Prince is?

Great chapter! I cannot wait to find out what will happen next. Good luck on your finals!

    Author's Response:

Hmm... we'll see about Harry's choice of material.

You can be sure that the Potions book will come up again (how can it not?).

Thank you for your wellwishes; I need all the luck I can get, methinks!
