I love this story! I think you write Snape and Harry so well. You are doing a great job at writing Snape realistically, but still incorporating the oh-so-wonderful softness that I love. Can't wait to read more!

Good chapter - I'm so happy to see that this excellent story continues to be updated. I was glad of Harry's outburst after Snape's sneaky tactic - it seemed very IC of him to yell and imply that Snape had no understanding of his plight, and for Snape to become frigid and turn away. Looking forward to more!

    Author's Response:

I'm glad that particular interaction worked; I'm really trying to strike a balance between the gradual friendship (it's certainly more complicated than that, but I think "friendship" is probably the best word) that the two of them develop and the friction innate to their very different personalities. It's hard!

Thank you, as always, for your review.

Snape becoming detached and formal at the end helped a great deal I think to reestablish his position as a teacher and responsible adult. :)

This is interesting and well written. Just one copy editing niggle: the traditional phrase of approbation is "Hear, hear!" not "Here, here!"

    Author's Response:

Ack, I knew that! *smacks self* Thanks for the catch!

I just found your story and I'm sorry I didn't review each chapter, I just couldn't stop long enough to do so. It's an amazing story! I was so disappointed when I ran out of chapters. Excellent characterization of both Harry and Snape and your description of Occlumency is wonderful. The story itself is so interesting I couldn't "put it down". I can't wait for more updates.

Author's Response: Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you're enjoying it; I hope you like the new chapter!

    I love this story!

Snape acts in character - mostly, sometimes he could be meaner but, the plot demands the small change in character - and I love how Harry still grieves over his Godfather's death. I agree, the book seemed to get over that just a tad too quickly.

I am eager to know when Snape will see more of Harry's Dursley Life. You've given small hints and nudges at his situation and I can't wait for the moment when Snape discovers it all - Like he actually lived in the cupboard.

    Can't wait for the update!

Good chapter. I liked the sudsy-water touch there at the end. :-)

    Author's Response: I did, too. :)
