so gav knows they love him and he shouldn't make them worry unless its something to worry about - like if he really had drowned or some such

Sev as a grandpa - awesome!!!!

Author's Response: Yes, Gav knows that quite well now and he won't make that mistake again! Grandpa Sev, can you just see it!

sev handled that brilliantly and he the whole sick harry thing was also well dealt with and sev has as much as said when he was a scamp he got what was coming to him - not tobias' beatings but the spanks and scoldings and it makes sense why he is upset - leave a note tell people what you are doing so if it goes wrong they know where to start looking

Author's Response: Yes, one thing you can say is that Sev remembers what it was like to be a kid and applied what he learned to Gavin's situation, by giving him appropriate punishments and it can be said that he's unofficially adopted Harry too, like Ginny said.

this brought back some memories of that old movie firestarter with drew barrymore

i am so glad everyone good is ok and the bad guys are done

    wahoo!!

Author's Response: I know, i actually thought of that movie when I wrote that part! Creepy, huh? Good thing Sev kept his cool, huh? And yes, all the bad guys are now roasting (literally) in hell--hooray!

    I love ginny's protective streak

monkey is a sweetie but I wish sev would have taken her someplace safe instead of just sending her on her way... I know he can't adopt everyone but he must know someone who could help her

only a dad would sit there in public and treat a kids injuries and embarrass the daylights out of them - back with arista and the giant and the mermaid and standing up for trish with all those nasty letters to her parents LOL

Author's Response: Yes, Ginny's as fierce a sher mother sometimes, she'll make a wonderful mom.  As for Monkey, someday she'll find a home with a person who loves her, perhaps in the sequel to this one! And Sev is a real dad, he does what he feels is right and to hell with what others think, and right then his top priority was making sure his son was healthy.  Poor Gavin! LOL!

    oh cool

see draco if you are kind and respectful to others they will usually do your bidding out or respect and loyalty

    way to go gavin

after sev kills you he will be proud of you

Author's Response: Ha, yes, you're right and Draco will learn that lesson too late! Stupid git!

    gotta love that monkey

and ginny is dead on and I wish we could have seen that scene in the books - with snape tlaking to ginny but I guess JK couldnt; write everything

some stuff has to be left to the imagination of the adults

    Bren

Author's Response: Monkey is awesome and I agree with you about that scene too, which was why I put it in there.

its official adorpted or not gavin is snapes little guy

he loves and worries about him like he did arista

I am curious though- why didn't the shifter take arista - he could have really freaked sev badly with that- with drake gone and such it could have been some time before sev found her missing

but its just a thought - this way we get to really know gavin and make the comparisons to harry

Loved how harry has realized snape makes an awesome guardian and dad

Author's Response: Yes Gav truly is Snape's son and he freaks out about him because he cares for him so very much.  Yes, the Shifter could have taken Arista, but Arista's an adult and not as easy to kidnap as a ten-year-old, she'd fight and maybe beat the Shifter at his own game, so he figured it was safer to take Gavin, less risk and an easier target.  And Harry discovers alot of things he never knew about his teacher in this story.

glad for the ginny gavin bonding

gavin is a good kid he just need to grow up and learn how to make better judgements but for ten he is doing well considering he raised himself until a few months ago

Author's Response: Yes and eventually he'll learn better, especially considering the example he's got in Sev.  Ginny knows this of course and she's glad of the company.

i love that gavin is loyal

I think its good that scout put him in his place

    goyle- what a jerk

    slick is a rat

    GO scout go find sev

Author's Response: Yes, Scout's real good at that, after all he is a magehound with twelve years or so experience and when he get son someone's trail . . .that's it!  Slick and Goyle shall get theirs! And poor Gavin, to have his friendship and loyalty tested like that!

    poor kid

he means well - he just doesn;t think to ask for help

    sigh

now sev is gonna be one worried daddy

Author's Response: Oh God is he ever and Gavin, boy will you regret it!
