"Friends" debuted in Sept. 1994, which hasn't happened yet in this world, but otherwise, this was a very good chapter.

I'm glad the nightmares have finally showed . . . not that I'm happy he's having them, but glad the emotion is not being repressed anymore. And Harry must have been repressing them fairly deeply to not recall that his magic had been ripped from him -- he didn't remember that happening when he was in the infirmary, after all.

Author's Response: Yes, it was an altogether horrific experience, one which his mind acted to block from his conscious memories, and I took some more liberties with TV shows here, and timelines, this is a what if universe, and it's fun to play around with things.

I love how snape is so conversational and ratioanl and mature

I also think its funny that after all that he still does normal parental things like wonder why his son likes a certain tv show or wants to do his homework the easy way or balks at a bedtime

I thought the comment at the beginning about harry wanting to preserve himself from being murdered by his dad was funny - I am paraphrasing I know but the idea of harry confessing all to sev would likely turn the mans hair grey

However I would not be surprised if he already knew so go figure LOL

Author's Response: Yes, if Harry ever told him half the things he got up to with his friends, Severus would have a stroke.  Then again, Severus is smart enough to guess at who was behind that particular disaster, so I don't think he'd be too shocked if Harry told him . . .when Harry was forty and safe from his parental wrath that is!

Grr...I hate the DEath Eaters, they all ought to commit suicide! But that spell was awfully scary! Loved how Sev helped him with his homework and came in to comfort him after the nightmare though! Can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: I agree and thanks for all your reviews!

I love this story. Every chapter is well written and the plot is great. I think this is the first story that I have read that actually gave a reason for why wizards still use quills, I like your reason. Well I'm off to read the next chapter. Thanks for the chapters.

Author's Response: I'm glad to hear it and I always figured there MUST be a reason they used quills instead of pens, when pens are so much easier and they know about them, how can they not they see them all the time? So I decided to invent a reason and that one was the one that made the most sense to me, since I've tried writing with a real quill and ink before and believe me it's damn hard and no wonder letters took forever to write back then and penmanship was considered a very importent skill.

    Elise,

It's up right now, so you can go and read it!

A crush on Jen Aniston--ha! I think Brad Pitt might object a little! LOL! Well, he's married to Angelina now, still I think he still likes Jen a lot.
