Reviews For Hide Yourself Away
Author's Response: Yeah this one was a good one.
Author's Response: Oooh yes! And what a party it will be!
Since the MacIntyres were Muggles, Severus didn't reveal that he was a wizard to them, they thought he used to be a chemistry professor for a posh English boarding school. I don't understand why he'd lie to them. I mean, if they don't know he's a wizard, how is he able to give their son Advanced Potions lessons? I assume they pay him for his time like any tutor, yes? Or is Neil sneaking out to get lessons? They must know that Harry is a wizard, too, since he plays Quidditch at their house, and was going to go to the Big Game, so why would they bat an eye at Severus being one, too? It doesn't make any logical sense. Lastly, if the MacIntyres have a Floo for talking through, why doesn't Harry use it to get back and forth to their house? That way he wouldn't need to rely on car rides (or Don't See Me --which in canon is actually "Notice Me Not" -- charms) to see his friends. Author's Response: The MacIntyres don't know their children are wizards, they think Severus is giving Neil advanced lessons in another subject and their wizard tutor, who teaches them much like a Hogwarts professor, is just a glorified math, history, and algebra teacher teacher. That's why they only use a Floo for talking and its only the two brothers who use it, plus Severus doesn't want people to know he is a wizard and is keeping a low profile. The MacIntyres don't believe in or accept magic, which is why all the secrecy. As for the Quidditch, the charms work on them as well, and they can't see their sons flying, their eyes slide away.
sev hosting a sleepover for neil and harry and lord knows who else - that would be funny!! Author's Response: Yeah, I almost wrote a scene like that, but in the end it just didn't fit so I had to leave it out, but maybe in a sequel I'll put it in.
Author's Response: Yeah, I like Remus too and having him as a friend for Sev is really neat to write about, since it gives the Potions Master another person to ask advic eof rather than Dumbledore. Mia and Rosie are great too! Read more when you've got time and as always thanks for your reviews!
Author's Response: A shout out to all us beagle owners and lovers! Aaroo-oo! They really are the best dogs! Mine makes me laugh every day!! Rosie's the comic relief in here, if you haven't guessed it! And you're my 101st reviewer! Beagle kisses for you and hugs!
Author's Response: That'll happen in about two chapters, so be prepared!
Author's Response: I will, I should have another chapter up sometime tomorrow, if I can mnage to finish it then! And I agree with you about Remus, I always liked him and thought he got a terrible deal, much like Severus, in the books. It always made sense to me to have Remus and Sev be friends because in a sense, both of them were outcasts and Remus didn't seem the type to go in for pranking and tormenting, he always seemed more mature than James or Sirius. Also, since the Wolfsbane Potion is so complex to brew, I felt there had to be another reason other than the standard Dumbledore ordered him to for Sev to spend precious time making said potion for Remus. Of course he would do it for his friend. |
