I want a sequel! I like your Harry a lot. He's good. LOL I wish he didn't have to be the stupid old chosen one but alas. I guess then there would be no story. LOL I really liked the line, "Inwardly he thrilled at the words..." That was great. I hope all goes as planned for these boys. Will we see Sirius in a sequel?

Author's Response: I know, I seriously considered ditching the prophecy at one point, but then I thought . . .Voldy has to be killed and Harry really ought to do it, but not alone so . . .the return to Hogwarts.  I'll be writing a sequel since everyone who reviewed so far seems to really want one and I'm overwhelmed with how much all of you enjoyed this. Yes, Sirius will be in the sequel, but not till the end, like in the original POA.  I should have the first chapter up by tomorrow! Thanks as always for your review!

Damn you. Ending the chapter there. Evil evil person. *glares*

Anyway, good chapter and I hope to read more soon.

Author's Response: You will, believe me and yes, I did it on purpose! evil grin here!

OMG, I don't know! If I were Harry I'd probably opt to tell Dumbledore to screw it and live an ordinary life, but what if that was wrong and people he loved and cared about died because of it? It's like the Decision of Damocles, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Poor Harry! Sev should just strangle Albus sometimes!

Author's Response: I agree and Harry's decision won't be easy at all!

And why exactly should Harry be at Hogwarts for the prophesy to be fulfilled? If prophesy meant destiny-that-cannot-be-denied, it would come to pass wether Harry were at Hogwart, in the States or in Timbuktu.
Maybe Harry should stay in the States, learn how to accurately us a Winchester, return and shoot Voldemort between the eyes. Hows *that* for a power the Dark Lord knows not! I'm sure that with all the disdain Voldie has for all things Muggle, and the fact that he himself grew up in Europe in the 1920's and '30's, he hasn't the slightest idea what a automatic gun could do with copkiller bullets. Let alone a machinegun.

(God, but I sound bloodthirsty today)

Author's Response: Now that's an interesting concept, blowing Voldemort away with a machine gun! I actually considered that at one point when I was writing another HP fic, but Voldemort is very cagey and like a cat, seems to have nine (or seven) lives! You're right about the prophecy though, if it is Harry's destiny to face Voldemort, then face him he will, no matter what.  Dumbledore just thinks if Harry's at Hogwarts, under his eye, he's able to control him better and perhaps control the outcome of the prophecy.

Well, I sorta think (no really think) that Severus has a point. A prophecy, especially this one is such a circular thing. It is sefl-fulfilling and really doesn't mean anything necessarily. The others can band together and dispose of him, if they could get their acts together. I always thought it was ridiculous of Dumbledore to expect so much of Harry. I vote for Harry chooses to just be normal. Full stop. Of course that will mean he has to leave Ron and Hermione, but hey, kids move away all the time and are just fine.

I love that Severus will do whatever Harry wants and will support. A mark of a true dad, if you ask me. Brilliant as always. I think this is my favorite chapter, even if Harry chooses wrong. :oP Thanks, Snapegirl!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your support and currently I'm still up in the air about which way to go with this.  Looks like so far people all want him to stay in his new home, just the way Severus wants, and Harry himself wants and I want too.  But we all know how manipulative and persuasive Dumbledore is, right? He believes wholeheartedly in the whole hero's destiny concept.  Question is, does Harry?

OMG!! Poor Harry!! No child should have to make this choice - D*mn Dumbledore!! If you're really asking, then I say Harry and Severus should stay in the US, and let Harry have a normal life for once - if, and it's a big if, Harry should decide to return to the UK As An Adult and take up the fight against Voldie then, that's a different thing!! Plus, who's to say that Voldie will even be able to come back without the magic of Harry's blood in that ghastly graveyard ritual - Harry staying with his Dad in the US could be just the thing to put off Voldie's return indefinitely!! And both Harry and Severus deserve a chance at a normal life and happiness as a family!!

Umm... Hi!! I haven't exactly reviewed before this, er... sorry about that, but I do want to tell you how much I absolutely love this story!! I'm also completely amazed at the speed in which you post, and how consistently fantastic the quality of your chapters are!! I love the concept behind this story, that Severus and Harry are a family, and that Harry could have a chance to be a normal teenager and not a junior gladiator!! You really are an awesome writer, and I'm looking forward to more!!
    Scarlett

    Author's Response:

Thanks a lot ! You're absolutely right, Harry's choice IS one no child should ever have to make, one reason why it's so terribly difficult for him, and another reason why Severus is so angry at Dumbledore.  He doesn't want his son in the front lines of battle at all.  Name me one parent who does! But if he does have to fight Voldy, at least Severus will be there to help, which will be a BIG surprise to Voldemort this time around.  And Dumbledore as well, IF Harry returns.  I'm glad you like my writing style too, and I tend to post so quickly because I write so quickly, can't help myself really!

I have another novel up here as well, it's slightly different from this one, Some Good Guys Wear Black was actually written first and features an adult Harry, Ginny, and Severus, as well as Sev's adopted son.

    Only two chapters left! *gasp*

Are they going to go back to Hogwarts? This was a good chapter and I can't wait for the next. I'm so glad Harry has his magic back.

Author's Response: I'm not telling! And I'll be posting the next one very soon, like in the next 5 minutes, so watch for it!

Oooh! I was worried, that was some illness. Anyway, liked it and hope that you get to update soon. Hell, but really, it was some illness! The happy thing is that his magic is back! Yay!!

Author's Response: Yes, it was very bad, but then so was the spell that shattered his magic!

!!! hope you will explain how the fever fixed everything in the next chapter!

Author's Response: Actually, no one is sure right now what happened, it's a mystery that will go unsolved . . .for now.  Suffice to say that when the shatter spell wore off, it allowed Harry's magic to return all at once, which shocked his system and brought on the terrible illness, but that's all I'm going to say about it.
