I know what it's like to be alone - very lonely. I'm very glad that he has Rosie, Mia, Severus and now Neil. They seem like a really interesting pair. Eagerly looking forward to more! Author's Response: It is and that's why I gave him one. Harry has always needed a family and that's what I've given him here. He'll acquire more friends in the next book too!
But I can't stand punishing Harry in my stories. ::grins weakly:: I always end up torturing him horribly by the Dursleys or I forget that he should be punished for certain things. ::chuckles:: On to the next chapter! Author's Response: It's hard for me to write some punisment scenes, I don't like writing ones where Harry's getting walloped by Sev every other chapter with rulers and stuff, so my spankings are like a paragraph and normal-under twenty swats and not descriptive. I used to be a teacher and to me any CP that's 20 or over is abuse, especially if it's delivered with something, like a ruler. The nuns at catholic school used to give you three with a ruler and consider it a good spanking, and they were right--according to my sister, who went there and endured them, thank God I didn't have to go thru that! And after 13 or 14, no kid should be spanked, in fiction or real life. Actually 14's too old, in real life that would never happen, if you have normal parents and not abusive ones that is. I try to use real punishments when I write those scenes, because otherwise it doesn't seem believable.
Let me be the first to say... Awww! I wonder what the others will think when Harry returns to school with a new father and a Beagle. I don't have any pets but a puppy for Harry is an awesome twist compared to the stories I've read where he got a snake or another owl. Actually... ::strokes fake beard:: I need to give him a pet! All righty, off to the next chapter. ::stars walking, suddenly stops and turns around:: Quick question: Anything I should know about your pretty little shimmerling that I don't already? I want to make sure she's in full character otherwise what would be the point in using her? ::grins:: ::high-ho high-ho off to the next chapter we go:: Author's Response: Yeah, I have a beagle, who is looking at me pleadingly as I write this, and that's why I gave Harry one. As for the shimmerling, I think I told you everything you need to know, Have fun with her!
Author's Response: This chapter was one of the most intense ones in here, I figured it had to be because of the signifigance.
