I was delighted at your writing style, especially the scenes from toddler Harry's point of view. The only drawback to your exposition was my confusion as to which characters were speaking or being referred to; I repeatedly had to backtrack and reread to sort things out after the exposition was complete. Other than that, your story was summer joy! Thank you! 😺

That last bit made my heart ache, just a bit. :( A nice little story, nevertheless. Well done! I enjoyed it.

Hell, I don't like stories with so young Harry. I don't like stories so short. I should have definitelny don't like this story.
    But I cannot.
This Severus is completely, definitely wonderful. Each of his action is so like him that i even cannot point at least one place where he could have done/said anything different. And this is a vary difficult thing when we are talking about Snape rescuing Harry...
Well, I even think that this is one of the really few stories when rescuing Black by Severus is also completely reasonable.
    And his disappearance..was the best.

Such a sad way for this story to end. Not that I think that Sirius and Remus didn't do well in raising him, it just that I wish Severus had done what his heart actually told him to do and fought to have custody of Harry himself.

Beautiful story. I adore how it is from Harry's point of view, and the last line really links every thing together. Nice work.

Good story, brilliantly written, however not easy to read, heavy stuff...
Very interesting how you told this, from little Harrys perspective with some POV of Severus and Remus and Sirius at the end. Horrifying how manipulative, cold and callous Dumbledore was to play with Harry´s health and life in this way, that he did not care about how bad the child was abused (in your world Mrs Figg did make reports to the OOP about him).
Dumbledore knew of the switch of secret keepers and despite that let Sirius rot in Askaban. How cruel. That is the great infalliable Lights leader?
This is something I have believed too after reading the books, how could he not know or at least doubt that Sirius would betray his best friend?
You let the reader really feel their disbelief and shock when Severus and Lupin discover the abused child, scary how more and more of what little Harry suffered comes to light.
I suffered with Harry, Severus and Remus reading this.
    It felt suffocating at times.
Thank you for the Epilogue, it gives a perspective of at least some hope.
Only so very sad that Harry does not recognize Severus and does not know that and how he saved him, but I understand it is necessary in this world so Severus´cover as a spy stays intact.
