Oi! These have been such great chapters. Sorry I've been a slacker lately. I have strep and I haven't even been writing! Ack! Anyway, I love the whole Wormtail as a shape-slipper and I love the interactions between Sirius and Severus and can I just tell you, I about died when Harry hexed Sev? I was so excited. I know, I'm pretty weird, but i just found it highly entertaining. And I felt so bad for poor Remus. Draco needs something very very bad to happen to him. That's for sure. And can I just say that it is really funny as well that Severus broke Sirius free and then punishes Harry for doing something wrong. ROFL Poor Harry though. That was so sad how he was crying and saying how he wasn't good enough, all because of those stupid Dursleys. Hate those Dursleys. Love your Snape though. I think although it was hard for him to follow through on what he said would happen, it was right for him to do so. I know as a parent, sometimes I want to kick myself for threatening a punishment because then I realize I have to actually follow through. Arg. But anyways, Snape's a good Dad. I'm glad Harry has him. Can't wait to see what happens to Draco. :o)

Author's Response: Aw, I hope you feel better soon! I hat eit when I'm sick and can't write.  The whole thing with Harry hexing Sev had me laughing as I wrote it--it take son a whole new dimension when Sev's Harry's father, because then it's like OMG--I just hurt my dad!! I hope he's okay and then now I'm so dead!  Yes there was a bit of irony there for both of them, but I wanted Severus to bury the hatchet with Sirius and what better way to do it then to have Sev break Black out of jail? Plus, it shows that although Sev can be a stickler for rules, he also knows when rules have to be broken, so in that regard he's a Slytherin.  I hate the Dursleys too, they are, in my opinion, as bad as Old Voldy, only they don't get killed or put in jail the way they should've.  And I'm sure Sev felt like kicking himself too after saying that to Harry and then hoping he'd stay out of trouble so he didn't actually have to do it.  But . . .in the end he knows consistency is very important as a parent, and I wanted to stress that here, since i see so many parents these days who are never consistent and as a result their kids are little monsters (happens all the time in Barnes & Noble where I work).  Draco DOES get in trouble for the Wolfsbane, nothing like how he SHOULD be in trouble--as in a trip to Azkaban or expelled--but Sev does what he can, LOL!  Thanks and I hope to have the next one up fairly quickly, it's my birthday today!

Can someone pretty please set a wild creature on Draco before he spills Remus' secret? That would be really cool... :)

Author's Response: I wish that had happened, but . . .he's such a sly sneaky little cockroach . . .and his father helps him too!

well, yes and no. i think that spankings should stop at 10 years old. surely, there are worse punishments than a spanking...of course this comes from me who was spanked with a belt most of the time. it was just a bit harsh..i would think seeing his dad so upset would be punishment enough. how humiliating

    nice story by the way

Author's Response: Oh Lord, and that was how my dad punished my sisters and brother too, not me though, because by the time I came along (i'm the baby) I knew what NOT to do and avoided getting him that mad and he was older and had mellowed a lot, I got the occasional smack or four, but not a belt, thank God! And just so you know, that was the last time Sev will spank Harry, he did it because he had promised him he would, but he hated it and will find alternatives thereafter.

Harry got exactly what he deserved and i think by the end of the chapter harry would have seen it as his getting a deserved punishment from a loving parent, knowing that it was nothing like the abuse he got from the dursleys. Being comforted and forgiven after was just great.
i like that sev was also "uncle sev" to Aria i think that she too would see her punishment as coming not just from her head of house but from a loving uncle

Author's Response: You're right, Harry would know the difference between just consequences and just being beaten for the hell of it the way Vernon used to do.  Aria thinks of Sev as her uncle and has from pretty much the first day they met, so she expects his loving discipline like Harry expects it from Remus.  Which is why Sev chose to lecture her in his private rooms instead of in his office--the office is for students, but Aria is family, therefore he brings her to his "home" to punish her, just the way he does Harry.

The consequences were fair. No worries. Though Aria seems to be in more trouble then Harry. Harry just has to deal w/ Severus. Aria has to deal w/ him + Lupin. Prehaps an added scene involving a scolding from Lupin for Harry?

Great chapter as always and I can't wait for an update!

Author's Response: Actually, Harry will endure a scolding from his godfather as well, once Lupin returns from the shack.

Yes, I think Harry got exactly what was promised. I hope they figure out that Draco was the one to mess with Lupin's potion. The ministry is going to make Lupin leave but what's going to happen to Aria?

Author's Response: Draco's misdeeds will not go undiscovered and even if Lupin resigns, Aria will still be able to attend Hogwarts.

I've been reading your speedy updates as fast as my eyes will allow, and once again, here I am...caught up :) Hmmm...the consequences. The spanking was definitely deserved. Though, I love how Harry was able to hold back his tears until Severus hugged him. Definitely showed that it's more than just a spanking that brings about the repentance. And I ADORED Harry's breakdown and mutterings of imperfection. Oh, and I couldn't help but laugh at the image of Severus trying to rub away the sting of his hand without Harry seeing. Delivering sixteen smacks would definitely hurt... I never thought about it. lol.

But overall, I really enjoyed this chapter. Good job!

Author's Response: Thanks, I tried as much as I could to show that Sev's disapproval hurt worse than the spanking, so it wasn't abuse.  And that part with Sev's hand, my sister admitted to me once that after she spanked her son her hand really hurt, so next time she was using a wooden spoon, hence all the wooden spoon references,  actually that goes back to our childhood, my mother used to swat us with a wooden spoon when we misbehaved terribly, it's a typical Italian punishment. And she always felt bad afterwards and hugged us, so I'm drawing on experience here.

Great chapter, I love the part where Sev tells Sirius he has ADD! LOL!

Author's Response: Yes, that's my favorite part too!
