Hi. I rather enjoyed your previous fic, which was refreshing and fun, but I must say I'm rather dissapointed by this sequel... I can get over the weird character change Ron got since this is an AU (but Canon@!Ron would be the first to sneer how any Slytherin or child of a Slytherin was Obviously Evil and, whilst stuffing his face with food, blather on about 'toadstool not changing their spots')
No, what really makes me fear for this fic is Aria. She has 'Mary Sue' written all over her. I mean, she's sooo beautiful with the wavy hair and the mysterious amber eyes that she makes every male drool (including the teaching staff) even though she's only 13, but she's also perky and, although no Goody Two-shoes (because She Sorted Into Slytherin) she's Obviously Good (since she spurned Malfoy)

Please don't do this... I was really looking forward to this sequel, and indeed I enjoyed Dumbledore's theatrics (why oh why did the Snapes return to Hogwarts? What possible purpose does it serve? Is Hogwart's curriculum specially aimed towards Voldemort-slaying? No. It only brings Harry back to England where his blood can be used to restore Voldie's body. Selffulfilling prophecy, anyone? Sigh..)

I really do like your stories, but Mary Sues set my teeth on edge. I fully expect Aria to be revealed as an Unicorn-Pegasus animagus in the next chapter. Or a Half-Werewolf at the very least... :-)

    Author's Response:

Well, remember, Ron knows that this is Harry, after all, so of course he isn't going to malign his best friend! And Hermione knows too, so they won't be surprised at all when Dumbledore reveals the identity of the Snape look alike.  And Aria is not what you think she is at all, she actually has a very well developed background, she's not phenomonally pretty, except when she smiles, and Snape certainly is not fantasizing about her.  She is not a perfect person by any means.

And I had the Snapes return to Hogwarts because I wanted Harry to meet Sirius and since this is an Au fic, Voldemort might not be restored the wya he was in the books, plus the fact is that Harry wants to prove that he's not the prophecy's pawn by fulfilling it in a different manner . . .with the help of his father, who will fight the final battle BESIDE him and be instrumental in defeating Voldy once an for all.  None of this could have happened unless they returned to britain, and so while it may look like they are fulfilling the old prophecy, they're really sending it down a different fork.

Wait and see what develops, after all this is only the first chapter!

Awesome! Not just a sequel but new twists! I love the new student. Bold, confident, beautiful, perfect for Harry if that's where this is going. And that would make Lupin and Snape relatives, of a sort, should everthing work out. Love it. I also loved the ending though it ended way too soon!

Author's Response: Sorry, I know it was kind of short, but I thought ending it with Trelawney passed out on the floor was kind of a funny cliffhanger.  As for Aria, she will play a major role in this fic, and in Harry and Sev's lives as well.  You'll learn more about  her in three chapters.  One thing I'll tell you though, she's not your ordinary witch!

Great start!! Can't wait for the rest.

Author's Response: Thanks and I should be updating fairly soon!  More surprises are coming and you'll learn more about Aria in a future chapter.

LOL. I can't stop laughing at Trelawney fainting.

Great begining and I can't wait for more.

Author's Response: Yeah, I had to put that in there, I couldn't resist! LOL! Couldn't you just see it, though? It's a typical Trelawney behavior.  You'll be seeing more of our batty Seer in future chapters. :) I'll try and update soon!

When I read your response to my last review I was thrilled! I'm so happy you decided to write a sequel! And what's more you published the first chapter on my birthday! Thank you for such a wonderful present and of course for wishes *hugs*

And about the chapter... what can I say? It was great! Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: You're very welcome!  Sev says Happy Birthday too!  Glad you liked the new chapter, this one's full of my typical little twists, as you'll see.  It'll follow POA pretty closely though, except for a few of my own characters and plot twists.  Enjoy and hope you have a wonderful birthday!

OMG this is gonna rock and roll girl

i love aria and can we say potential love interest for harry or just really good friend

will harry be inthe triwizard tourney in year four?

and will there be adventures with pettigrew and sirius and other book 3 stuff

dumbledore seems sincere but is he only sincere because he got caught or becuase its the right thing to do

    hmmmm

Author's Response: Oh Aria's definitely girlfriend material, as you'll see.  And as for year four, i haven't planned that far ahead yet!  Yes, Sirius and Pettigrew will be here, though I'm following most of the major points of the book so they'll be appearing later.  Dumbledore is sincere, in his way, but he still hopes to convince Harry to do things his way, the old meddler!
