Author's Response: It certainly is! And I'm writing about Sev waking up right now, yay!
Happy, happy birthday!!!! :) Hope it was special! Author's Response: Thanks and I'm glad you like what I've done with Tobias so far. He's the very devil to write, but I think I've got him down now and yes, Sev is going to freak when he finds out where Harry is, considering what he went through as a child with the man.
Severus said "enough." Being able to do something with Harry was one of the things that Tobias and Severus couldn't do. Once Severus's magic kicked in, Tobias probably felt inferior and out of the loop with Eileen and Severus. But with Harry, who has probably never seen anything made entirely by hand, the experience was wonderful. It is also good to see that Tobias has the look. I am glad that Severus is waking up. Funny story - my cousin would use a wooden spoon on her kids. One day in Sears, my cousin and her little daughter were shopping. Pam started looking at some wooden spoons for the kitchen. Rachel back up, saying "I'll be good. No, Mommy." Okay, maybe not so funny story. Author's Response: Oh yes, that is so true, and it was true in my family as well. My siblings and I grew up with the threats--make that reality sometimes--of being spanked with wooden spoons and belts, and hardly any of us discipline our kids like that because we too said, "Enough. I won't make my kid afraid of me and i can get the same results, usually, by alternative punishments." But it wasn't easy, there are times when my sister says she has to stop herself from grabbing a spoon or a slipper and walloping her children with it when they've been particularly horrible. Once her son, who was eight at the time, went and told his dad she was mean cause she gave him one smack on the butt for breaking her good china pitcher and his dad said you're lucky you didn't have my mother, you'd of gotten it with a spatula. We laughed over that now, but it really isn't funny when you think about it. Still times were different back then and the discipline system was harsher although it DID work, god help us all. Anyway, thanks so much for your review!
Author's Response: Thanks very much and I'm working on the Severus chapter next.
Author's Response: LOL! yes, it's been a long haul for our poor Potions Master, but now he's returned at last, in the next chapter! And sparks will fly! |
