Reviews For Never Again!
Btw, I'm glad you mentioned in your review of Eight you'd like me to read a story of yours. You rock, girl! Author's Response: Hey, i used to teach too--Pre-K in Florida for about two years and ESL and English for a year until I had to switch jobs (now I work for B&N) since my mother developed Parkinsons and I needed to move in with her. So I know where you're coming from. As for Tobias, he is based a great deal on a former alcoholic of my acquaintance, a relative actually, and most of his behavior and mannerisms are drawn from this person and the redemption part is also true. Many of my fictional characters are based upon real people I know or knew, which I guess is why they seem so real to me. I really pulled out all the stops for this one. . . emotionally speaking. When I finished this I was a wreck, emotionally drained, but then that's how you're supposed to feel when you write something like this. I'm glad you're enjoying this and there's more drama to come!
Author's Response: Yes, I know, poor Tobias. But eventually things get better!
However, in the first paragraph of the 2nd section here, you wrote: "...the paperwork that had mounted up while he was in a coma for over two months." This jars the reader, since it doesn't match with the "three" we remember. Feel sorry for poor old Toby--I know he didn't mean to screw up like that. Author's Response: Whoops, you're right, I'd forgotten to adjust that. When I first started this, I wasn't sure how long I was going to have Sev remain in a coma, and was waffling inbetween a little over two months to three and finally decided to go with three. Thanks for reminding me.
Author's Response: Yes, he has indeed, but maybe now he'll know better!
Author's Response: Yes, eventually they might do that, but right now Sev doesn't want to see Tobias at all!
Author's Response: Yes indeed!
maybe this will serve to remind him the next time he wants a drink! Author's Response: Yes I think it will!
Author's Response: Me either, I think you can feel bad for all of them!
Author's Response: Thanks and you'll see what happens next soon! |
