Reviews For Lily's Charm: The Gift
Severus is so good for him though. I was re-reading some of LC the other day, and while I knew I loved it, I'd forgotten just how good some of those early scenes were with them, when Severus and Harry were just getting to know one another and growing close. They've come such a long way since then! I'm eager for the next chapter, as always!
I'm worried, though, about Harry's state of mind. He's definitely planning something crazy -- hope Severus can figure it out before it's too late. Now is the time to do a little mental probing!!
He`s really going to give Severus grey hair though! Amazing chapter once again, and please hurry with the next one. I just can`t wait to see what mischief Harry`s going to get into again! I love it. I think the thing I love most about your writing Tàbitha, is your ability to describe the simplist little things in such realistic detail. Like the rustling of robes, or the throbbing sensation of Sev`s hand after having pulled on Remus`robes. All these little details just make your story so unique. You really do have a gift.
He is also in shock. Severe shock. He is grateful that Sev is there and he seems to be functioning, but he is hinging everything on Sirius being able to come back a second time. But it is a bit sinister that Harry stepped through the veil in his dream. Does he think that if he goes through it again he will be able to bring Sirius back a second time. He obviously does not want to leave Sev, so yeah, I think that he thinks he just has to guide Sirius back a second time. God, keep an eye on him Sev. Do you know what he is thinking? The poor kid is not in his right mind. No nearly 17 year old kid could see all the horrors that HArry has seen and be unaffected. I think this was the strw that broke the camel's back. And Remus...poor Remus. He has lost his brother again. Or has he lost more than that? Are you infering romantic love here, Tab? A dream that never came true? Tonks is second best, and only because she pushed so hard. And speaking of Tonks...can there be a little metamorphmagus in the oven, I wonder? Brilliant chapter. Sev's worry and Remus' worry and devastation came through beautifully. Well done you. Lesley~
And then this...! Poor Harry, poor Remus, poor everyone. Harry is going to have such a hard time with this. The poor kid has seen Sirius killed before his eyes twice now!. After the initial joy of Sirius coming back from the Veil, then the trials of them coming to terms with the different circumstances of Harry's life, and then Sirius' death on top of it all, I'm sure it's going to be very difficult for Harry. I'm glad that Severus spared Harry from killing Bellatrix, but I do understand Harry's rage. Of course he shouldn't have screamed that he hated his father, but he is out of his mind with grief and shock right now. First he suffered the terror of being kidnapped from his father's side by Bellatrix and then watched Sirius die by her hand again. I think it's probably safe to say that he's not in his right mind at the moment. We all know that Harry didn't mean it, and Severus knows it too, I'm sure. I believe that Harry will probably feel very guilty once he's calmed down enough to realize what he said. Looking forward to the next chapter!
Sirius!! He may have not been able to think of the consequences of his actions, but he proved in the end that he loved Harry more then anything else in the world. I don't suppose that it is possible for someone to come back from the dead twice, is it? And poor Harry. Severus is going to have his work cut out for him in helping Harry through Sirius's death. As always, great great job on the chapter. I actually cried at the end. - Leilia
