I haven't reviewed in a while, but I wanted to let you know I'm still reading! I'm curious about the friendship developing between Malfoy & Harry—real, or a ploy? And it's wonderful that, despite the word limitation, you can add descriptive details in, like cherry sodas. Keep up the excellent work!

You wouldn't think you'd be able to convey so much in so little words, but its right to the point, short and sweet and some how it seems as though if i was any longer it wouldn't be as good. I love it, its fantastic!!! please update soon

Very, very interesting. So what's going to happen now that Harry is not one of the champions? Why didn't Mad Eye (or rather, the imposter Mad Eye) know to put the right name in?

    Very well written.

    Author's Response:

I read an essay somewhere that tried to figure out when the goblet was tampered with, and it suggested that it must have been done before the thing was displayed in such a public place... which means it was done before the school year officially began. There isn't any canon evidence, I guess, but that's what I went with. Crouch wouldn't have known Harry had changed his name until he arrived at Hogwarts, which would have been too late. In any case, it seemed like a nice twist and got rid of the Harry-the-champion plot.

The only things I feel will come out of him not being champion are (a) Cedric doesn't die, and (b) the fake Moody will have to come up with a different way to get to Harry.

An especially brilliant and poignant chapter. Awesome job. I'm still loving this.

Author's Response: Oh, well, you KNOW I had to put in the nose thing. Severitus is all about the NOSE. :-D

The way this is written . . . I don't know how to express it, but the discomfort Harry feels comes through brilliantly, the way he feels a little disconnected from the world. Great job.

This continues to be absolutely brilliant. You are conveying clearly just how much anger and hurt Harry would need to work through if this situation actually occurred. And with Harry's temper I can see this happening. I hope that Harry can get to talk to Hermione soon.

Oh, interesting twist on how his name change could affect the picking of Harry as a champion. And Draco knows Harry better than Ron did at this point.

Author's Response: I figured that in a binding magical contract, using the right name would be important. I also figured that Ron's basic problem was that he felt overshadowed again, like he has all his life, while Draco doesn't have those hangups. Besides, being a Slytherin, I figured Draco would neither expect Harry to hold back if he wanted to put his name in, nor to share the info on how to do it. Ambition, you know?
