Reviews For Growing Pains
This was a great chapter, as well. I love Severus's insistance to Jane Granger that Hermione is normal. Author's Response: yes, he has to stress that because so many "normal" people look upon wizards as "weird", "freaks" or "abominations". And given the way Tobias treated him for having magic as a child, he wants to make sure the same doesn't happen to Hermione. I should have the next chapter posted soon.
Hahaha, that is perfect. Btw did Pratched made up the Tooth Fairy or is it a real tradition? LittleSun Author's Response: I love Sirius, he's like comic relief inbetween all the serious parts. The Tooth fairy, believe it or not, is a real tradition in Western Culture and is practiced as I described. Kids from 2 all the way up to ten or eleven leave their loose teeth under their pillows for the tooth fairy to take and then leave a dollar or two behind.
Author's Response: Yes, well it is a bit much for them to grasp in the beginning, but eventually they'll get it. The dentist part was quite amusing and took me back to my childhood, I had a really good dentist he was my dad's best friend and I was never afraid when he did a checkup on me. Poor Sev, he's going to flip out in the next chapter, and he ain't the only one.
Author's Response: Thank you and I hope you enjoy this one as much as the other one.
Author's Response: Thanks and hope you like the rest of it!
I like the way that Sev handles the issue of magic with the Grangers... I note that it is Jane that is freaking out and Walter seems to be handling it in stride; with Sev having a father who handled his son’s magic in the worse way he knows how it could affect Hermione and how it could destroy a loving home if handled badly. Maybe later on the Grangers can meet Tobias to discuss a muggles view on having a magical child. I know that Hogwarts: A History is a great historical book but couldn’t there be other books to introduce magic to muggle parents or muggle born wizards like something titled A Muggle Parents Guide to Magical Children or An Introduction to the Magical World or something like that which would explain frequently asked questions that muggle parents with young children would have... Author's Response: That's a good idea, them talking with Tobias, as he would know how to tell them what NOT to do and as for the Hogwarts book, that's not the only book on how to deal with a magical child, but it was the first book that came into Sev's mind at the moment. There will be another young woman with another magical child coming up in late chapters who will be given a different book to explain to her about raising a magical child. Though she will react a bit differently than Jane.
And Yes I would like to sleep with a panther if given the opportunity. And in questioning if Severus would have a cow if Harry went missing.... wouldn't a herd of cows be more realistic???? Look forward to more. Author's Response: Thanks and God yes, a herd, a farm, poor Sev! Glad you liked the conversation!
Author's Response: Thanks, and well, no Harry really isn't supposed to take him outside, but being Harry . . ..
and no, sev won't have a cow...he'll have a hippogriff! Author's Response: Yes, God help him, he will! LOL!
Author's Response: Yes all the kids are adorable and Siri is really a big kid too, sort of. Poor Sev, just wait until you see what happens next! |
