I detest Dumbledore and his machinations. Snape’s resolve at the end was brilliant.

Oooo...I love this. Especially the last bit. 'I'm done playing by your rules, old meddler. Now you'll play by mine'. That...*shivers* I can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's Response: Good that means I've made you enjoy yourself!

Dumbledore can be nasty sometimes. But if Snape told him that he was Harry's father couldn't he have the blood wards attached to him? Or does it have to be someone with Lily's blood? This chapter wasn't as interesting as the other ones.

    Author's Response:

Dumbledore would not have cared if Sev was Harry's father, his whole plan centered upon raising Harry in the muggle world.  That's why Sev doesn't tell him the truth right away, because he knows D always has an agenda.

Why is Albus such a fruitcake? Can't he leave Harry alone, for once? I mean really!

Author's Response: Nope, he's a meddling old man who thinks he knows best.

Oh my God! I want to kill that old man! How could he DO that? Stupid old coot! Rescue him Severus! Hurry! otherwise I loved this chapter!

Author's Response: Because he thinks he knows what's best for everyone.  And Severus will come for Harry.

Nice, Sev doesn't tip his hand too soon.

Author's Response: No, he's too smart for that.

Bad bad Dumble! Hates him! Little-sun

Author's Response: Yes, Dumble is not very nice in this story.  He's a manipulator who uses people like chess pawns, for his own ends, though admittedly they are good ones.

You just gotta love Snape in full Slytherin mode. You've done a great job in detailing Dumbledore's game-playing. It really is all about the game and I'm not usually a Dumbledore basher. I can't wait for more.

Author's Response: Thanks and I hope you'll enjoy the next chapter also.  It should be posted soon.

Interesting twist to have Dumbledore be sympathetic and concerned but still unwilling to come up with another situation for Harry. I wonder what your Dumbledore really thinks he's accomplishing. Now I'm looking forward to seeing Severus be sneaky. ;-)

Author's Response: You'll find out what Severus does soon enough.

Not enough people tell Dumbledore to go screw himself. He has no real authority over Harry's life. Maybe Harry should be slytherin and blackmail him. Tell him if he isn't moved from the Dursley's he won't return to the wizarding world or maybe just Hogwarts.

Author's Response: That's a good idea, but you'll see that Severus has something else in mind.
