I didn't know about Twinheart's story, haven't read that one yet.  I put the writing lesson in because I went to Virginia and visited Wiliamsburg, they had a demonstration with quill pens and writing which I decided to try.  Let me tell you, these quills were "modern" ones, meaning they had metal caps and not the plain nubs of the gray goose quill, and they were still incredibly hard to write with.  I swear to God, I felt like I was an idiot, I couldn't even write my name so you could read it.  So all those frustrated incidences of harry's were my own experiences.  And Sev's instructions were what the man at Williamsburg told me.

And I've also gotten another bad review before, I was simply commenting on this one, since I do include the AU warning in all my stories, so you shouldn't expect me to follow canon.
