Reviews For The Heir to Prince Manor
It's awesome that Hedwig and Storm Rider had babies! How adorable! I want one! Sev's reaction was great. He did not lie to Harry for the sake of Harry's feelings and tell him he wasn't disapointed by the grades, but he didn't yell at him and make him feel two inches tall. I'm glad he made Harry understand his expectations, but that if he didn't meet those expectations, he would still hold a special place in Sev's heart. I'm also glad he didn't really get punished. Just told to read the book, which he would have been told to do even if Sev said he wouldn't punish him. And writing the essay, simple. *tosses roses and chocolate chip cookies* well done!
I loved Hedwig and hr babies. How cute! The food fight was terrific and so was the whole grade thing. I'd love to have Severus be my dad...well sometimes. Author's Response: Okay the potion's coming, LOL! By owl of course. I wouldn't mind Severus as my dad either . . .but would prefer him as my husband, LOL!
I still love your story, though! Author's Response: I don't much care for them either, but it seemed like a typical Harry and Draco thing to be doing. (Those boys! Always up to something.) And my nephew thought it'd be cool to put that in there, so I agreed, since he's the one who originally encouraged me to write these stories. He's 12.
Hedwig with babies! I never imagined such a thing. What a delicious twist! I'm sorry this review isn't long but I'm beat and I want to watch the television and then go to bed. Randomness for you: Have you seen The Dark Knight? Lots of love, Jewels. Author's Response: Thanks, I love animals and I decided to let something good happen to Hedwig for once, since a lot of writers tend to end up hurting or killing her, which I think is cruel. I hated the fact that she died in DH. Nope, haven't seen the Dark Knight yet, tho my nephews saw it twice already . . .and they forgot to invite me! We'll have some words over that one, LOL! They said it was a great movie and I really want to see it!
Author's Response: Yeah, it would have! But something almost like that happens in the next chapter. ^_^ And as for Harry's grades, one can always hope, right? With Sev keeping an eye on him, there's no reason he wouldn't improve.
I love Smidgen! She’s a really great character and sounds both cute and amazing. Cats are my favorite character too, so that helps add to the love factor. She sure has been a help with both Harry and Severus, their memories were sad and it's good they are dealing with them. Glad Harry got rid of that nasty blood bond as well! I thought the food fight was funny! Harry was just full of cheesy puns and I had to laugh at how ridiculous they both were. The ‘bite me’ comments reminded me of how my sister and I have had stupid fights before and exchanged similar comments, but we’ve never thrown food at each other! Lol. When Sev came in, I was thinking 'oh boy, you two are so dead!'. I had a hunch about Hedwig and Storm! I guess that kinda makes Harry and Draco in-laws ;p. I bet the owlets will be beautiful, and can't wait to find out their names. I'll be looking out for more updates from you and hope to see some soon! :) P.S. I have to ask; did you get your info on Shimmerlings from somewhere or make it up yourself? Because, I was really interested in reading about them, but when I tried looking them up, all I found was some human-like fairies. No cute kitties though, sadly :(. Author's Response: Smidgen the shimmerling is my own invention. I got the idea from looking at a book at work one day called Fairy Foals, it was about mini fairy horses with wings and I thought, if they have horses, why not cats with wings? And so the shimmerlings were born. I wanted to make it so that Harry had some interaction with the fae side of his ancestry, it just seemed to make sense since I'd gone through the trouble of stressing it so much. And I also didn't want to go the usual route and make poor Sev (who is busy enough!) deal with Harry's nightmares himself using Legilimency or whatever. The poor guy needed a break and someone to help HIM for a change. So I had Smidgen be a dreamweaver--that name I got from the line of an old song by Moody Blues--and be able to help Harry conquer his fears and the bloodlink. And also help Severus too. The food fight plus comments is based upon a real food fight 2 of my nephews, who were the same age as H& D in this book, had one summer. They really didn't get along and fought all the time until something happened, I forget what, and then the liked each other and the food fight was a result. I loved the owlets and they're going to play a kind of funny role in the story and you'll find out their names soon enough! Oh, and just so you know, the boys aren't done getting into trouble yet, hahaha! And you'll meet another OC of mine too, Sarai, who was once Sev's teacher. happy reading and thanks as always!
Author's Response: Thanks! |
