I wanted to do something different with this fic and so I added the realm of the fae into it.  I'm happy you liked it!

And since this was set right after third year, the dislike between the two is not as strong as it was after fifth and sixth year, plus they had a lot of time to adjust to each other in the manor by themselves before Draco showed up.  Weeks went by and the fact remained that Harry couldn't dislike his father any more after seeing one, how he cowed and got even with Vernon and Dudley and two how he took him away from there.  And much of Sev's resentment at that point was based on his thinking that A) he was James Potter's son and B) that Harry lived the life of a pampered spoiled brat.  But once he finds out the truth, that this is HIS child and moreover a child who was treated just as badly as he was by his own father, there is no way that previous resentment would stand, because Severus is a logical man and logically all his reason for "hating" Harry are now gone. Most of the Severitus stories tend to be set AFTER fifth year, with the Pensieve and Sirius's death, and THEN you have the most awful resentment and dislike, but not here.  And frankly, I didn't want to go through a long drawn out period of rebelliousness with Harry when he could clearly see that his father was trying to help him and then go through another one with Draco. After awhile it just gets boring to write quarrel after quarrel.
