Reviews For Seraphim and Serpents
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! Yeah, Arynn's meant to be slightly creepy-both of them are. For now. I'm sorta (ok, this sounds terrible, but) glad you're creeped out. It's a good thing! lol. And you'll find out Harry's fear of Snape soon. Next chapter. It's pretty straightforward, no hidden meaning or anything though. Well, thanks so much for the review! -Elise
I felt so badly for Harry when he was thinking how he was frightened of Severus, and I do hope Severus will make things up to Harry for the awful way he's treated him until now. I did love how he cared for Harry's cut, though...that was sweet (dare I say 'sweet' or will Severus come after me?) of him. Great chapter! I loved it! Author's Response: Ooh, yay! I'm glad you noticed about the blood. And yes, Sev will try his best to make it up to Harry. And you may say sweet Kristeh. I'll keep Snape away. *throws Sev into a closet so he won't come after Kristeh* lol. I'm glad you liked the part about the cut. I liked writing it. Well, thanks so much for your awesome review! -Elise
Author's Response: Hehe. Thanks, I'm so glad you like it! And about longer chapters...well,I've a bad case of writer's block. (Not plot-block mind you. I know what's going to happen, I just can't seem to get the thoughts to sound right on paper.) So, I'm having a hard time trying to get at least 1300 words for a chapter. So, for right now, shorter chapters will be the best I can do. But I'm working on it. Hopefully, I can get them longer. I'll try! You'll find out what happens soon, I promise! Next chapter should be up by the end of the week! :) Thanks for your great review! -Elise
I do have a problem with your depiction of Snape as a lover of children, since I find it hard to believe that any person who "loved" children and had the relationship with many of them that you portrayed Snape as having with his Slytherins, could knowingly be as emotionally abusive to Harry as he was in canon books 1 & 2. However, you know that your Snape is OOC, so . . . . I thought it was interesting that he apparently is also some kind of friends with Lupus. Your writing is good and I appreciate the humor. I'll be interested to see the twists and turns this story might take. Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you find my story interesting.
If you're looking forward to twists, you'll be very happy to know that there will defenitly be twists. Oh, boy, will there be twists! :) Well, thanks for your review! -Elise
Can't wait to see Potions class now! Author's Response: Oh, I'm glad you like Sev and Remy. They're fun to write. :) And, yes, explanations abound in later chapters. Promise. Err...still having slight trouble writing potions class. Grr. But it will be up soon. Trust me. Well, thanks so much for your awesome reviews! You're the best. Kisses and Coffee, Kristeh. -Elise
I loved seeing Severus' thoughts on the students and his responsibilities towards them, the way he welcomed the first years and put them at ease, and how he established that they must stick together and that blood status has no place in their House. Great chapter, and I can't wait for him and Harry to have these little meetings with the twins! Author's Response: *Squeels and dances around in a circle* I'm SO glad you like it! I was afraid you wouldn't. Thanks so much, you're awesome! And the meeting with the twins is coming up soon, promise. Thanks so much! :) -Elise
Once again, I'm so impressed at just how real the kids seem. I loved the Trio running ahead to get the best spots in the common room, and the Weasley twins bursting in and counting down til the rest of the House came in. The way Fred reached out to Harry and reassured him of his place in the Weasley family was just wonderful, too. Harry is very lucky to have such fantastic friends. Author's Response: Oh, thank you! You always seem to notice the exact points that I want people to notice. Thanks, I have fun writing the trio and the twins. (Both sets, lol.) I was glad you liked Fred. I was a little uncertain at first, but you've calmed all my fears about writing him like that. Thanks! Well, thanks so much for the review! -Elise
All the kids seem so believable, and their interactions are fun to read. Looking forward to more! Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad the characters are believable. That's really g,reat to hear. Well, all the kids will know the truth soon, and well....I can't tell you their reactions. But they'll be fun to write, and hopefully fun to read. Thanks so much for the great review. You're awesome. -Elise |
