Reviews For Burnt Out
I was so proud of Dudley here! I'm looking forward to more.
Author's Response: That's how I've looked at Dudley as well.... I've always thought that he was mislead, but that as a child he still held some of the compassion that had disintigrated within his parents years before. Although he never liked Harry, he would have to feel some empathy at his cousin's state of being, especially as he's grown up with Harry his whole life. He doesn't see Harry as family, really- more like a sevant- but it would be like if someone's nanny was getting hurt like that. Harry's taken care of Dudley his whole life and now it's time for some serious payback. Hopefully my mother will allow me on the internet soon- I can only get on at my father's house right now and I'm not allowed to have documents on his laptop because, you know, it's his and I'm not supposed to be taking it over... As soon as I can, though, I will be updating. This is, I think, the best story I've written so far. Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: I'll update when I can. I'm not allowed on the computer at my mother's right now, which is where my story is... I'm on my dad's laptop to check reviews, but that's the best I can do right now. When I can, I'll be back in action :)
Keep of the fabolous work! Cecilia Author's Response: I will continue the story when I have the chance; however, I am currently not allowed on the internet (sneaking on right now) because of a poor grade in school. When I am allowed on again there will be many updates :))
Hagrid should've recognized Hedwig though. She's the only snowy owl in Hogwarts Author's Response: Lol, nearly everyone on this sight and on fanfiction has mentioned liking Dudley. I hope you all still like him next chapter... I won't give anything away (especially since I don't exactly know what I'm writing) but I do intend to add more depth to his character... But, yeah, he has a heart. And I'm glad that you're waiting for the next chapter. I don't really get how you wouldn't recognize a snowy owl, however, the challenge itself said she had to be so burnt she wasn't recognizable, so I have it written in that he couldn't tell... and when does it say she's the only snowy owl in Hogwarts? not to mention the fact that it's summer time, so it could have been any owl, not just a hogwarts owl. That's what I think makes it a little more realistic, even if I would have written the challenge differently.
Author's Response: I will update as soon as I can but for the next two weeks I can only get on at odd intervals between studying for finals... after two weeks from now it should pick up, as should my other story (I don't know if you read that, so I thought I'd mention it)... Glad you like Dudley! |
